Margo was deep in Eliot's arms, wrapping her with the comfort she always found with him. Alice had her nose in one of her books. And Quentin was making them coco. People had returned to their families during the holidays, so it was just the four of them at the cottage. "Did you spend a merry christmas? I know I did," she added. Although, it was clear from the fact Alice was wearing her clothes.

Quentin had made them both coco, to ease the conversation because it was most definitely an embarassing one. At least for him. It didn't seem so embarassing for Margo. "I know you kind of want to play matchmaker with me and Eliot. But did you really have to tell Alice? She gave us eatable underwear and that was weird."

This wasn't Julia's first one night stand. Nor was it her first time with a girl. But definitely this time felt more intimate, given her complex history with Kady. The two of them having been a lot together. Most of it because of Julia. So she wasn't exactly surprise Kady didn't want to be with her. Julia's arms were wrapped around Kady. She moved a hand downward, to make her intent clear. "I didn't think you'd want us to be more. I know you still hate me after everything went down with Reynard. I know it was just for fun. Doesn't mean the fun has to stop in the morning."

Margo's limbs were tangled with Fen's. Fen had been a late addition to the group, because of Eliot's situation. Because she was important to Eliot, being his wife, she had became important for Margo. As Margo did anything in her power to help her and be there for her, with the fairies. And over time, a bond stronger between the two of them as Margo became High King. She trusted Fen, naming her to be in charge in her absence. A night together definitely was not outside of the realms of possibilities for Margo. As Fen was always beautiful.

Margo smirked at Fen after her comment. "I'm sure ever since I became High King. You seem to have a type. Not that I complain," she teased.

Margo had found attractive on first view, although she didn't act on it. For a start, she wasn't exactly what she usually went for. Then there was the whole Alice was Q's girlfriend and she at least respected Q enough to not go after Alice. But Q and Alice had crashed and burned, in part thanks to her, ages ago. Came back from being a neffin. Margo definitely found no shame in having sex with Alice now.

The night had been great on her part and she believed on Alice's part too. She knew so, with the sounds Alice had made during the night. But now Alice was having cold feet. Margo did not. She passed her hand on Alice's nude back, trying to calm her down.

"Maybe. Probably. But it felt good for me and I know it did for you. So why not just stay in the moment and enjoy it for now? We can decide what wewant out of this later. Don't crash out on me now."

Quentin came out of Eliot's room in what was the most obvious walk of shame there was. Quentin far from being the only man that did the walk of shame out of Eliot's room. He was just hoping no one would notice. Unfortunately, Margo caught him. With the fact that they were good friends and she was Eliot's best friend and Eliot told her everything AND that he had a threesome with her and Eliot ages ago, this was a next level of embarassing.

First there was the threesome with Margo and Eliot that completely destroyed his relationship with Alice. Then there was his life long relationship with Eliot, after which Eliot pushed him away. Now this, after too much alcohol and drugs and lasting feelings for Eliot all mixed together. It was the next morning but Quentin didn't think much of it. When he decided to have sex with Eliot again, he didn't think it would evolve into more than a painful one night stand.

"We're both sober. You don't have to pretend you want more out of this than this. You've made your point really clear already that you aren't interested in more."

Eliot was so surprised that such a little life could fill him with so much love. Teddy was certainly a surprise in his life, as this was not anything Eliot had ever expected.

But it was the most welcome surprise he could have wished for, although he never would gave guessed it would be a child.

He also learned this little life he loved was fragile and in need of protection.

Any injury Teddy got hurt Eliot, too.

"I suppose Dada and I no longer will need to tell you not to run around the mosaic again, yes?" Eliot said with a slight smile, kissing the bandage he put over his son's knee scrape. "There, is that all better?"
