perthru as the rock is actually the most common interpretation in my own (swedish) research! I like it for a lot of reasons, and so for that reason this is the only card in the deck I personally read differently than intended. no disrespect of course and everyone's interpretations will always be different and are all hugely important to the craft. was just curious. thank you for the thoughtful answer! 'destiny' is a great take on a convergence between these meanings. something I'll bear in mind!
ooooh, you know, I hadn't actually considered the cultural effect on rune interpretations, and now I am both kicking myself and also dragging out the research because i love the way that culture intersects with witchcraft, psychology, and so on, and being aware of the lenses that I view things through myself is very important to me so that I can always check myself. so thank you nony for teaching me something new today!
question! I too have the telluric rune deck, and I find it absolutely gorgeous and a joy to work with. however, I don't agree with its interpretation of perthru as the unknown - I follow the other research that points to perthru as the rock, and representative of the mineral kingdom, to go with bjarka and algiz. what's your take? just wondering how you'll interpret. :)
hi nony! yes, @lunariagold's telluric rune deck is the delight of my craft, so beautifully made. I have only just started reading runes, and have yet to draw perthro, so I'm afraid I don't have any experience with the rune's energy yet. the sources I've read converge with the telluric deck's interpretation as being related to the concept of destiny as a game of dice played by the gods. however, in many cultures there is a sense of destiny or fate as being written in stone and unchangeable, which is where the interpretation of perthro as the rock may come into play. I personally read destony as a fluid concept that represents a current trajectory based on an individual's decisions up to this point, so I prefer perthro's interpretation as mystery, but perhaps reading it as destiny may suit both of our readings.
in general, the runes if the telluric deck behave for me as most tarot cards would, where they may change their energy or the direction of their energy depending on the situation and context of the question. im so thankful to you for bringing up this extra interpretation for me though! I hadn't heard of perthro as "the rock" until now!

The runes responded with jera, the rune of harvest. Jera deals with timing, cyclical processes and the seasons. It signifies rewards for well-planned timing and appropriate actions. You can relate this symbolically to a farmer who sows seeds at the right point in time under the right conditions and cares for them properly, therefore reaping the bounty they bestow when the time comes and the produce has ripened.
Your feelings of big things coming seem to be legitimate based on this drawing, as jera is well known to indicate pivotal turning points. This is also a rune of gradual cultivation— if you have been consciously working on manifesting something, it is likely that it is soon to come to fruition. Still, try to be patient; keep going with the flow and don’t try to force anything— if a you harvest fruit before it is ripe, it is sure to be bitter. Additionally, jera generally signifies a time of peace, prosperity and celebration, but not necessarily a time for rest or over-indulgence. You will need to take into consideration necessary labors ahead and allocate your newly acquired “resources” appropriately.
My energetic focus seems to be dwindling a bit and so my visions have become rather sparse and faint, so I didn’t pick up much on you other than what I can only describe as “sparkly” energy and warm feelings. I would certainly interpret this as a promising reading in any case; I think it is definitely a confirmation of your intuition.
As far as the suspected union, I cannot make any definitive speculations, but I will say the symbol itself is comprised of two L shaped lines turned towards one another. Also note that jera sometimes represents fertility and conception, so that might be something to ponder— I don’t seem to sense this aspect of jera to be the primary implication in your case, however.
