A Tale of Two Watches
So, this is interesting. I have two Garmin watches...a 35 I bought a little over a year ago and a 220 I bought used from a guy from a local running group. I liked that the 220 has the option to create a workout on line then upload it to the watch. Awesome for mixing distance and time intervals.
Today I ran a half matathon with a friend.
My friend is trying to come back from an injury. I suggested she try a 5:1 run-walk interval. She liked the idea, but doesn't have a watch. So I offered to lend her my 35 and program the intervals. She loved it! And it worked really well for her - even if it wreaked havoc with my Strava stats (she set a bunch of records for me, 😂). But here's the interesting part: her elevation chart, with an overall gain of 414.7 feet.
And here's mine, from the 220, with an overall ekevation gain of 1184.4 ft.
And apparently, I ran underwater for a while (we did talk about swimming across the Schuylkill when we could see the finish line across the river).
Either way, I finished upright and uninjured, and helped a friend (another friend) finish her first half!
