Katawa Shoujo and Emi’s Legs: Is that how it works?
So I just started to play Katawa Shoujo for the first time and one of the characters has no legs and moves around on those running blades. The character is also a runner, but I was curious, are those very useful for day to day movement outside of running? The design to me seems like if you’re not moving very fast, your center of balance would be off but I have no idea how this sort of thing works. When it comes to prosthetic limbs, are those leg blades actually used for day to day life or is it just something you put on for a race? Thanks
Gazelle's legs
Has anyone who's see kingsman explain something? I don't understand Gazelle's legs. I don't know if it's the fanart or if the movie portrays it that way, but why do i keep seeing people draw her as if she's balancing on the spikes, or the spikes are longer than the blades?? Don't running blades flex as you run, if the spikes are as long or longer than the blades, how does she run? I"m going to ignore their shitty movie poster for now lol. Is it just wonky non researched fanart or is the movie actually that weird? Do they retract in movie or something?? (If so why do people draw her just standing on the spikes??) Or do i just have a misconception of how running blades work? ?? I'm so curious but I can't find any writing from amputees about this character (via google anyway) yet.
