Why is it that on my worst I-don't-want-to-do-this days, I seem to turn in my best times? Unfair.

Running report
I’m a little sad that this year’s average and days run was lower than last year. I had to end my streak and take some time of for eye surgery. You can easily see when I was using Fridays as a rest/cross training day. However, the new streak is over 40 days.
Mile 1: 13:15
I finally hit that landmark I've been trying to beat for ages and ages!
Mile 1: 17:57
Mile 2: 14:47 (???)
For real, it's an easy mystery to solve. Mile 1 includes a 5 minute warm-up walk, mile 2 doesn't. But also isn't a complete mile. I'm gonna have to figure out a way to resolve that for next time.
DNF again, but this time due to equipment failure rather than me lacking ability to finish. C25K swapped up workouts in the middle of my run without asking me! Argh! I guesstimated on the rest interval and finished run four as if it were the right workouts so I almost had it. Which, TBH, is even more frustrating. I was on track to finish this time, dammit!
Oh my gosh. This really hurt.
So, I've been working out steadily during the academy. But today. Holy heck, today was rough. We did handcuffing practice yesterday and my right wrist got repeatedly slammed until it ended up swollen. Not broken, but definitely sore. And then today...we had fight day. For real. We went to a local fight gym, got into an actual honest-to-goodness boxing ring and beat the snot out of each other.
So, to make sure that I am doing regular run workouts, I decided to go for some kind of run today. My goal was not speed. It was not time. It was simply to complete a mile-and-a-half at a run.
It hurted. But I did it.
Went for a long run today rather than trying for speed. That will be for Friday.
Okay, so the C25K report? All wrong. The actual report is the timer snip underneath. Hit the mile in 12:46 and a few steps into mile 2 when I called it. But, proof of concept is established. I'm doing intervals at a higher pace and the "walk" intervals at a slower pace but still (mostly) running. I can get faster. Yay!
