So I took a month off from running after the marathon. I didn’t really mean to. There were a series of events that led me to being stagnant for a month. I am just getting back into a routine and after my third run this week I am FINALLY feeling like my cardio is less mad at me. My legs still feel strong but I was definitely sucking wind the first two runs. It is unreal how quickly the awareness of my body and what I need to do to feel good while training has slipped away during this stressful time in my life. Once again, I feel as though getting back into running has turned that around for me.
My plan is to run the Midwinter Classic in Cape Elizabeth (10 miler). Then continue to train for the Maine Coast Marathon & Half Marathon Challenge 39.3 miles.
First things first, I need to pick a training plan.
I can’t control all that life throws my way, but I can control what I do with it.
