Dr Juned Ahmed from Gungadia, Beanibazar was my Dad’s personal physician. An excellent Doctor and an outstanding human being. I was so impressed with his expertise, knowledge, manners, care and diligence he applied each time. He may be a village boy but the big city boys would learn a thing or three Bh observing his practises. Dr Juned has been headhunted for a role in the United States and he will be a great loss to Bangladesh. As an Ambassador for @runningmad.co.uk it was a pleasure to present Dr Juned with a medal of excellence. #runningmad #theanfieldtourist #thewanderinglondoner (at Laujhari) https://www.instagram.com/p/CW6l9zzIy9a/?utm_medium=tumblr

I'm teaching Middle School English, so I'm looking to build a classroom library. What did you like about The View from Saturday?
Hi there!
I read the book almost nine years ago, in sixth grade, so I don’t remember a lot about what actually happens in it. However, I’m able to surmise a few things about what I liked about it. Even as a kid, I was into realistic fiction. The View from Saturday is reasonably realistic and ordinary, but also quirky, which I liked. I was also into multiple narrators, and based on a book summary I pulled up, some parts of the book narrate the same thing from a different point of view. I can imagine that I must have liked that too as a sixth-grader.
I think the book also works well because its characters are very different from each other, but they come together for a common cause. They all have interesting back stories. And they all lead lives that are somewhat adult, which was appealing to me way back when. I guess I can compare it to watching Arthur or The Magic School Bus, but for slightly older readers than the target audience of those two shows.
So that’s pretty much all I’ve got. I hope you’ll read it and make it a part of your classroom.

Anthropology is such an amazing field of study, though! What branch are you focusing on?
