interest check; which would be more appealing; an rpg focused on the x-men, or an rpg focusing on the marvel universe as a whole?
can we get a blurb on flash thompson and brock rumlow?
Flash Thompson (Alex Pettyfer)
If you attended Midtown High then chances are you know of the name Flash Thompson. Homecoming King. Star Quarterback. Bully. If he wasn’t running the ball, he was chasing you down the hall. What you probably didn’t know was that Flash grew up in an abusive home with an alcoholic father who never gave him any credit for his accomplishments and the reason Flash picked on nerds like Peter Parker at school was to establish a semblance of control which he didn’t have at home… not that that makes things right. Upon graduating high school the self proclaimed #1 Spider-Man fan attended Columbia University where he befriended Harry Osborn and Mary Jane Watson leading him to eventually fall into a crowd which included the same kid he regularly stuffed into locker. Imagine that.
NOW: Though his opinions of the nerdy boy hasn’t exactly made a 180 quite yet, a recent encounter with Spider-Man where the arachnid hero asked Flash to turn in some stolen money while the webhead chased down a thug made the former bully come to the realization that Spidey was only around his age and yet was risking his life to save others. This revelation led Flash to re-think his life and enlist in the United States Army with aspirations to follow in his hero’s footsteps.
Brock Rumlow (Charlie Hunnam)
Like many Hydra agents, Rumlow worked for S.H.I.E.L.D. for years before coming out as the enemy. His experience in street fighting and his prowess in hand-to-hand combat made him an ideal agent, and on more than one occasion he was paired with both Natasha Romanoff and Steve Rogers. But it was all a ruse, the one man he answered to was Alexander Pierce. When Captain America was declared an enemy of the state, Rumlow was the one who led the taskforce to bring him in, thought it was unsuccessful. During the ensuing battle at the Triskellion he was struck by a falling piece of a helicarrier and badly burned. But surprisingly enough, survived.
NOW: Rumlow spent months in a Hydra rehabilitation center, regaining his loss of function from the helicarrier incident. Shortly before the Supernova event, he was reinstated to an operations team, but took a more supervisory role. With Captain America back in the limelight and Hydra fighting for their place and control of the world, he’s determined to get back to fighting weight and get back to the forefront of battle. Where he belongs.
I think it should just be a point system based solely on IC posts, I mean it'd be simpler and like you said you can just have jcink keep track of it, and do the counting for you. Also you could give points away from special events and such instead of awarding them for threads being completed. Other than this I think the leveling system is fine, its situated in a way that it'll motivate people to be active.
