Running before work seems like a great idea until I'm tired and have to go to work!
At least I did it! I suffered a minor thigh strain last week at rugby training & with work last Saturday I sensibly took over a week off running. I cried off training Thursday to give myself the best chance to get round park run today. I did, thigh is okay, but everything else aches! Really wasn’t feeling it, just going through the motions! Everything seems a bit like that at the moment. Therapy is going well, but asking questions & opening doors to things I’m not really ready to address yet. Very draining. Not been sleeping well, not eating great & generally not feeling comfortable in my own skin! I’ll keep at it, plate just feels very full. Talking about it helps, even if just over sharing under these little squares! No parkrun next week as rugby training moves to Saturday morning so everyone gets Sunday off for Mother’s Day. A bad run is better than no run. So they say! At least I got up & out this morning. It if I was a struggle. The drizzle doesn’t help. The unlimited ribs last night didn’t help. But I sweated out the beers so I did achieve something. I really couldn’t get going, but feel better for getting out there. Pacing event at Poole parkrun Saturday. I have no confidence I’ll be able to run anything that resembles a quick one. However still cycling to work, I think it does make a difference to energy for running. Perhaps pushing myself too hard again. Face spasmed again on todays run. You can see it in the little pic with the #runstats not the first time, but happening often enough now I think I need to double check it isn’t anything serious with the doctor. Specially after the funny turn a few months ago. Although after checks I was given a clean bill of health. 109.5 miles in March! . . . I know it looks like I run all the time, but I’ve only had a hand full of 100+ mile months, usually August/September during marathon training.
