टिहरी झील का जलस्तर बढ़ा: तटवर्ती गांवों में भूस्खलन, अब ग्रामीणों के सामने ये चुनौतियां
टिहरी. टिहरी डैम (Tehri Dam) की झील का जलस्तर बढ़ाने की अनुमति के बाद टीएचडीसी द्वारा टिहरी डैम की झील का जलस्तर 830 मीटर तक भर लिया है. इसके बाद टिहरी झील से सटे गांवों में भूस्खलन और भूधसाव बढ़ने लगा है. इसको लेकर ग्रामीणों की परेशानी बढ़ गई है तो टीएचडीसी 835 मीटर तक पूरा विस्थापन होने की बात कह रहा है. टीएचडीसी को अभी तक टिहरी डैम की झील का जलस्तर 828 मीटर तक भरने की अनुमति थी. टीएचडीसी…

Rural migration
Also!! We decided to just do it and rent the farmhouse an hour away. All we have left to do is sign the lease and we move in in a month. I’m so excited. I know the drive will suck, but if that’s the worst thing, it’s not so bad. We explored the town nearby and it’s a cute little place. There’s nothing to do in the actual town, but literally right behind it is a mountain and a state park... so we’ll be ok. And there’s a park up the road from our house that sits on a two mile river that we already have plans to kayak down. And the fields behind our house may be rented for show ponies!!! AND there is a winery/brewery literally ten minutes away that sits on this beautiful farm and has festivals all summer.
So. We’re good. :)
