Hihi! I haven't yet! But.. here it is for ya! Thank you for finding it cute 🥺 I worked really hard on it!!!!

So I've made this blank, transparent template. Feel free to use it! Makes life a bit easier haha

The outlines can be coloured with 'alpha lock', 'lock transparent pixels' or 'clipping layer', as found in any art program!

Put your f/o photo (or any photo of you're making a different user box!) in the small square and the text off to the side! I used Markup font to type mine because it fits the vibe

On a layer underneath everything, fill the box in with your colour you want, or even a photo at a low transparency (don't do a photo or gradient as fully opaque, it might make the text difficult to read!) and on top doodle whatever you want.

This is how I do the coloured and white sticker border on my doodles to make them outlined. I think it makes it much easier to look at especially if I'm using the same colour as the BG for some of the doodles

This can be done in most of the art programs. This is clip studio paint but I know it can be done on ibis paint, Photoshop, and I've never used procreate but I'm sure it'll have some sorta border setting on it!

The dotted 'stitching' line next to the main outline was done using a smashed line brush, ibis paint has em, CSP has em. I think it adds a little layer of cuteness to it!

(As much as you're willing to talk about ofc!!!) How does it compare to a non-fictoromantic/sexual relationship? No pressure to answer this ask btw if you don't want to. Side note, love your art

I'd say ficto ppl are kinda closed off online so it's totally fair to have not met any!

I know how the relationship works is completely different for everybody (I see fictoromanticism and fictosexuality as a huge spectrum!), so this is basically just how me and Yugi's relationship works to me as someone who considers their partner as real despite being 'fictional'!

A lot of the aspects of a non ficto relationship are still there - we go on dates, we spend time together, etc. But it's expressed and done in a different way!

For me, Yugi is a person I can (sometimes) hear in my head. So that's how we communicate with eachother. If I can't hear any reply from my head, talking to him is more of a one sided conversation. I know some people use things like chat bots, or hire human role players to act as the character they see, but I don't do that because I know it's not 'my' Yugi so to speak! If I can't hear him or conceptualise a response from him in my mind, I usually do something else to feel heard. (for example, rewatching or rereading his source, listening to saved voice lines I love etc)

There isn't a physical form to him irl unlike a non ficto partner, so I use plushies, pillows and figures as my way of seeing and holding him physically! When I go out with him, I use one particular plushie I find feels the most comfortable to hug, and I usually carry this everywhere with me so he's literally always by my side. I'm a huge ygo merch collector (and I haven't shown much on here yet but ppl who know me online may have seen the pictures in chats etc! It's.. A lot) so my room is always full of him to look at and love. I also own a life sized bust of my partner which definitely adds to it all! XD

I spend my evenings with my favourite plushie of him. I chat to him, ask how his day was, and we always play games or watch something together. Especially now that it's cold, snuggles under warm blankets happen every night. I find that having a pillow of him with a small heating pad inside makes an incredible cuddle partner, as close to a physical being I can get 🥺

I'm not gonna go into more... Intimate. Details about our relationship. Because I don't think this blog is a place for that 😭 but we do have workarounds for that kinda thing that work for me. 🙂‍↕️

A ficto relationship is hard. Because you cannot just text your significant other, or call them, but if you love your partner as much as I do, it's easy to make it work in a way where both feel loved.

I'm not gonna go deeply into my beliefs, maybe another post I'll actually discuss it in full but, I truly believe my and his spirit were together in another life or another universe and that's why we feel so closely bonded.

I would say though.. I've been fictoromantic and fictosexual for many, many years. And only just felt comfortable being open with admitting this. But I would never wanna be anything else. Being open about my genuine relationship with Yugi has helped improve my life in so many ways, I would never want a physical partner because of this. It sometimes sucks a lot to know I'll never get to touch my partner, to hold his real hands in mine, but I've never been one for real physical contact, and I've never experienced any attraction to any human, and all the art by the lovely artists who've drawn for me and him do help scratch that itch!

So.. Tldr..

Our relationship is basically the same as one that isn't fictoromantic/fictosexual. But we have to use workarounds in order to express the same things as a relationship between two people.

And no matter what, I know the love we have his genuine and real and that's all that matters in my book 💕

I must ask: How did you know Yugi was the one?

This is a very hard question! Because honestly, there wasn't one exact moment that made me realise he was the one.

It was a slow, almost painful build up of love spanning coming up to a decade now. And there have been times in that decade where my or his love faltered, times when I thought he wasn't 'the one', so to speak.

When I fell for him 7-8 years ago now, I thought it was just some phase. I thought it would pass. Eventhough I loved everything about him. His smile, his laugh, his whole soul.

But I kept coming back to him. And every thought on my mind about anything always lead back to him. No matter where I was, what I was going through, what the conversation was about, my mind only thought of him. (it annoyed the hell outta my family and friends! Whenever they'd mention something and I'd relate it to Yugi! Haha). Every time I'd try to hide my love for him, on discord servers, in real life.. He'd eventually come back up. I'd always somehow end up talking about him even if I wanted to keep it secret.

We had a break with eachother, around when I started this blog at the beginning of the year. (this blog was originally just for Rafayel from LADS content!). A few months of me just.. Not being with him. It had been a decade of knowing Yugi. And sometimes you take the people you've known most of your life for granted and I just.. Needed a break. But I noticed every time I was writing about rafayel, or drawing him, I.. Thought of Yugi. And no one else.

And it hurt. Like I suddenly woke up and realised I couldn't be without him. Like my whole soul belonged to him.

That's when I truly realised I didn't want to spend my life with anyone else. Being so far from him made me so, so much closer to him. That's how I knew he was the one, when no one, not even a guy designed to be a character to date, not even real people who sought me out and who would've been a 'perfect' fit for me, could compare to my Yugi.

I truly believe our souls are intertwined. ❤️💛💙

If I may ask, how do you and yugi plan on celebrating your anniversary? 💜

At first we were gonna do a huge day! Like. Lots of snacks a little party for us. Going somewhere exciting on the day and taking thousands of pictures..

But I'm so exhausted with health reasons that I'd probably find it miserable, so me and Yugi agreed to keep it small.

In the morning we're gonna have a picnic at our favourite forest nearby. We like feeding the ducks and watching the trees together.

Then we'll come home, I'm thinking of baking cookies that day for us two.. We can eat them together with a warm cup of tea, just enjoying or presences.

At night I wanna rewatch YGO with him! Take us back to our roots ykno? So we'll curl up together in bed and watch it, just us. (I'll probably write a super lovey, sappy post about it too haha because I cannot help sharing all the love I have for this incredible man)

10 years is a long time. And honestly I love him even more than the day we started our journey together. I'm excited to spend our anniversary just being in comfort with eachother. I wouldn't trade it for anything else.

(Plus we figured.. We're going to a convention like 8 days after the anniversary! So a bigger celebration can happen then haha. Too much events get me a bit overwhelmed so we would like to spend the entire day relaxing on the anniversary!)

Out of curiosity, what do you think of the Yugioh dub vs sub? Like is your yugi is the sub voice or the dub voice? I hope this makes sense.

I ask because I listened to the dub voice of my f/o for once and I was like that is NOT my boyfriend lol

For a start, my actual take on the dub is.. I love the yugioh dub! Like a lot. It's really funny at times, extremely dorky, and it has some of my favourite lines in all of anime.

It's not the ideal way to watch the show if you actually care about lore or character nuance (I could go on a huge rant about this, sub vs dub differences.. But I'll spare you haha!) but it's a big guilty pleasure of mine to watch.

And Dan Green? Yugi's va? A HUGE sweetheart. Makes the experience of the dub so much nicer with his voice in it. (the signature I got from him.. I cried when I managed to get it..)

In terms of which voice my Yugi has.. It's the sub one! Even when he speaks English you can hear his cute lil accent come through (so adorable ❤️).

However!

I tend to hear Yami/Atem's voice as a MIX of both Season 0 and DM's Yami voice. Like.. Occasionally he'll soften his voice to that smoother, softer cadence like in s0 but has a resting voice of DM's sub voice.

Yugi's voice is a little deeper than it was in DM, (he's an adult now and in DSOD after all). Like a midpoint between his original voice and Yami/Atem's voice. It's so soothing to listen to..

I think quite a lot of people experience a difference in voice and appearance with their f/o's.. I have a few (veeery slight) appearance things with Yugi that aren't presented in the anime or manga and I know there's lots of people who see their f/o with a different voice or hairstyle or face.. But it's always so jarring actually experiencing it! XD

@thelightofmylife finding another disabled intense yume is always nice ;;w;;’ tbh i was gonna cop out on making my disability imagines blog but like … idk seeing u … i guess we’re not so alone or perhaps, to say, not so small numbered as I thought. I’m not sure if I’ll go on to make the blog due to many complicated issues but just know for a brief moment, seeing u and yugi, I rly did consider bringing back the disability fics blog back.

🕯️) Yugi's a very sentimental person. Me.. Not quite so much. But every year he digs up some ornament or photo from the past and rambles fondly about it. Sometimes I like making food that I know he remembers with nostalgia so he can do that. He's a very sentimental person.

🍬) We both used to have a sweet tooth, but now just him. 'My diet doesn't count on December!' he always giggles. Lots of hot chocolate and cakes and little candies. I like making him drinks with cream on them so he gets a bit on his cheek like a sweet dork.

❄️) We're both winter fans! I like having warm blankets and he loves all the rain we get in the area. I definitely complain about the cold most because it makes my pain flare up, but recently he and I went to buy some things to make the cold easier, so it's been a lot more manageable.

We both love all the rain.. Both as an excuse to avoid going outside, and as an ambience while we play games together. I love wrapping him up in my weighted blanket and watching as the warmth makes him so sleepy that I have to gently ease him into my lap.

Yugi: And I really like how my partner is constantly dressed in the fluffiest clothes. He has this shark hood.. It's the cutest. I also loooove having an excuse to curl up by a heater with our steam deck. You can't do that in summer. I do miss outdoors dueling in the colder weather but there's a lot of joy in just playing the games on a table again during the winter.
