Inhabitants and guests of the region could plunge into the Middle Ages
The festival of historical reconstruction "Rusborg" took place from May, 5 to May, 9 on the ground at the settlement of Yeletsky of the Yelets district. "Guest" day took place on May, 8.
Thousands of the viewers visited the medieval platform. The festival which opened on May, 5 became to one of the main tourist brands of the Lipetsk region, united about 900 people who arrived from the different cities of Russia, and also from abroad. The military and historical club "Kopye" with assistance of management of youth policy of the region and the Center of event tourism of the Lipetsk region acted as organizers. Guests of "Rusborg" saw the medieval camp of re-enactors, attended a fair of national crafts and master classes on forge, potter's and to other craft arts, and also participated in sports meets.
"Rusborg" is one of the main tourist sights of the Lipetsk region. He is visited by more than 30 thousand viewers annually. According to the head of the executive authority of the region Oleg Korolev, moral, patriotic education is impossible if young people get knowledge of the homeland only from the Internet and mass media. "Young men and girls should touch history and national culture alive, - the head of administration of the Lipetsk region considers. - The festival gives to participants and the audience such opportunity".
