It’s hard to believe that Russell Malone is 55 years old already. Russell is as gracious and ebullient in his own quiet way as he is talented. In terms of tone, ideas, harmonic depth and melody, he is one of the finest guitarists out there. Ted Panken’s 2016 profile gives one the sense of the man. The 2004 blindfold test conveys not only Russell’s great ears, but his deep love of music and his fellow artists.
