I have spent the better part of today trying to decipher a book about Russian Lace (which I have never made) which I believe to be written in Dutch (a language I do not understand). however I have had significant breakthrough and am very proud of myself. I still need to figure out exactly what it means by "edge stitch" and "mesh stitch" and threads etc but I am so incredibly happy.

If anyone is familiar with Russian Lace and/or Dutch terminology any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is the book I'm deciphering:

I honestly love this book so much (I have no idea where I got it tbh lolol) but it gives exact thread lengths for all the bobbins in what colors and what order which feels much more thought out than patterns I've worked with before

The main focus of the album is made on the collection of lace All-Russian Museum of Decorative-Applied and Folk Art, which has about 12 000 exhibits. Had a beautiful delphinium ‘blue lace’ here, but it bloomed itself to death.  Came back as a tiny stunted leaf and died this spring.  Several others never made it.  So replaced one with Russian Lace, Denim ‘n Lace, which is supposed to be fuller than other varieties.  Also, filled in with lupine and mullein.  I have five delphiniums, replacing three with all new plants.
