Rose bush is on the far right. Has not bloomed yet.
The end of my garden is in full sun. I add plants every year, either by division of older plants or purchasing a few.
Mullein. When we still lived out at our cabin, I went to a local now defunct nursery and bought a mullein plant. It died after an early May frost. I lost a lot of my annuals and was taught a hard lesson not to plant too early and to not NOT cover vulnerable newly planted specimens. So I spied a mullein growing alongside the road. The roadside ditches are mowed a couple times a year, so it would eventually be cut down. I dug it out and put it in my garden. From that plant, all my mullein have derived. Love this plant. Leaves are a rare grey and a little fuzzy. Mullein is a biennial. Very reliable.
Stopped in at a local nursery and everything was so expensive. But I did get this one little cute clover. It was $5. It is a ground cover, so hope it fills in over the years.
Hosta heaven!
