Good morning! (Church Of The Presentation Of The Lord, Vologda, Vologda Region, Russia)
The icon that you see in the picture is a unique example of 17th-century iconography. The featured piece combines three truly influential and remarkable figures in the Russian Orthodox Church. From left to right, you can see Dimitry Prilutsky, John the Merciful, and Saint Gerasimus of Vologda. Each person made it to history as a prominent trailblazer and ideological enlightener. Painted by an anonymous icon painter, the icon is held at Vologda State Museum-Preserve in Vologda, Russia.
