Anastasia Platonova - Russian ice skater
P.S.
In all of this chaos that Shitler has created, he and Elonia have made it even MORE unsafe to fly in the United States.
There have been near misses, more than reported, for years. But the IIC (idiots in charge...old acronym from soap opera boards) made the head of the FAA resign before the disaster, and having Hegseth as the head of the armed forces is only going to make it alllll worse.
Don't fly unless you really fucking have to. There's no head of the FAA and no oversight, and the orange fuckstick is blaming Joe/DEI for the American Airlines tragedy like the senile, ridiculous cunt that he is.
I keep thinking that I can't do this, but I've got to outlive that fucking orange pus ball. But I hate that I outlived these talented kids.
Rest in Peace, poor skaters...poor babies
So like.... Can the Russians please do their own GP series??? Cause, aside from the Japanese, the Koreans, the Italians, and Loena Hendrickx, I literally do not give two shits about the rest of the grand prix skaters......
(sorry if that sounded mean!! I'm sure many of them are great!! I just have a lot of Russian favs and want to see them skate somehow this season 😭😭)

Not long ago, you mentioned that you are really fond of Georgi. What do you find most endearing about him? (I mean, I love that ridiculous drama queen so I am curious)
Oh, where do I begin? I think what really gets me is how earnest he is. Like yes, he is absolutely a drama queen, all of Yakov's skaters are in their own way, but Georgi's brand of drama is just so genuinely and unabashedly sincere. He just cares *so much* and feels everything *so deeply* when you really think about it that it's kind of staggering. For example, his programs. Mila and Yurio and the Russian skaters laugh at him for being so dramatic, or getting so into it, but he has the confidence to go out on the ice and say "This is how I feel. I'm skating these programs to process my heartbreak, and I'm going to going to be honest about what it's like for me." And, in spite of his antics, he really gets it spot on? Like, on one hand, when you love someone as much as Georgi clearly loved Anya, you really do want to curse them when they dump you for someone else because that hurts. A lot. But on the other hand, he still clearly loves her a lot and would get back together in a *heartbeat* (at least at that point in the season), which is, again, accurate.
And it's humiliating! It's objectively humiliating to go out there and be that open and know the people who are supposed to be your friends are laughing at you and your broken heart! But he does it anyways, because that's just the person he is! He's not trying to prove anything to anyone; he's just being himself.
And we know he doesn't feel like he has anything to prove to anyone else because he's not stars truck by his competition, or by Victor like a lot of the younger skaters are. He doesn't fret about if people will think he's the next top skater in Russia, he just sort of claims that position for himself (even if we all know Yurio is more of the heir apparent after Victor). Yakov says he's not bold or reckless like Victor is, which kind of implies that Georgi's just over here doing his own thing. He can see past everyone's antics (like at Cup of China when he lowkey judges Leo and Guang Hao for being so excited to just get a chance to hang out with Victor at hotpot), and he doesn't feel compelled to make skating his whole life. When everyone else is busy watching the final, he's out meeting a new girl and mending his broken heart. So in the end it's exactly because of that confidence without any cocky attitude that Yurio and Victor and Mila have that he's able to be so earnest and authentically himself. Idk bro he's kinda over the top to the point of being cringe, but you have to respect his willingness to just put it all out there anyway. And since he's not prickly like Yurio, or used to hero-worship like Victor, you get the feeling he's probably a surprisingly nice guy (in spite of wanting to curse Anya for dumping him, which, honestly, can you blame him for that??)
This got too long but...yeah. TL;DR: Georgi Popovich is a bit emo, yeah, but he's just a very earnest softboi underneath all that and he deserves to be happy and get his own flower crown, even if it would mess with his Serious Skater™ aesthetic.

**Possible**new sp for Evgenia!
I've heard she's going to skate to "Orange Colored Sky" by Nat King Cole (although probably a cover, seeing as ladies generally skate to music with a female voice, but you never know)!!
I'm HYPED for this (if it's true) because the song is so energetic and different from anything we've seen from Zhenya before! I think she has the ability to ROCK this kind of program!
