@rust-and-revolution liked for a starter!
It was all a blur when it happened. Denari had just set the controls to auto pilot to check a blown fuse when something suddenly crashed into the side of her ship, throwing her into a wall. The alarms were blaring, indicating damage in the ships engines and other areas. She hurried back to the cockpit, only to find her controls failing as a large planet came into view. She was crashing.
"Not good!" She cursed to herself as she hurried to the power supply, to see if she could restart the system long enough to slow down her fall at the least; From this high up she knew she could die. She flipped every switch she could reach, trying her best to remain calm. Denari jumped back when something sparked, hearing the engins whirring back on.
"Yes!" She didn't know how long this would hold up, but hopefully this was just enough. She scrambled to reach the controls again, and fought to pull the ship out of its nosedive, setting the thrusts to full back to slow herself down. Now if she could just--
Denari was suddenly thrown back once again as the ship made contact with something, the ship now rolling as it collided yet again. She quickly shielded her face as the glass window shattered. All she could see outside were blurs of green before blacking out.
When she finally came too, she could feel her whole body aching from being thrown around. Denari let out a pained groan as she sat up, looking around at the remains of her ship. She felt something wet on the side of her face, bringing a hand up to find a cut on her head. She could fix this with the small emergency kit, only she found herself moving slower with the sharp pain in her ankle. Just a sprain, she hoped.
Along with the medical kit, Denari dug out the distress beacon, dragging it outside of the ship so that it would have the best reception when she activated it. However, she wasn't sure how easily she would be found with how dense the trees were in this vast forest around her.
"This is Denari Lozern." She sat recording her distress message into the beacon. "I have crash-landed on an unknown planet. There appears to be no signs of civilization, and I have sustained some injuries from the crash...." She winced as she attempted to treat her leg with the small emergency kit, trying to ignore the pounding in her head.
She ties some bandage and gauze around a wound on her arm. "I have a limited amount of supplies, but they will hopefully last long enough for help to arrive. I--" Denari jumped when she heard a rustling in the foliage, looking around. She got up, painfully, pulling a small gun out from the holster at her side. "...I would highly advise hurrying, it is possible that there are hostile creatures out here." As she said this, she noticed a pair of eyes looking out at her from the brush, before a large scaly creature charged at her.
"Correction! There are!" Denari screamed, her voice drowned out by the beasts roar. She attempted to shoot at it, only to find it seemingly undeterred by the weapon. With nothing else, she quickly activated the beacon, before turning and running. She felt the pain shoot through her leg, but she'd rather deal with that than the set of teeth close behind her. Running as quickly as her leg allowed, she tried to keep track of where she was so that she could hopefully make it back to her ship. She looked back only to find that the creature was hot on her tail. Its large mouth opened in an attempt at catching her, and she couldn't help but scream.
Momentarily distracted, she tripped over either a root or a rock, tumbling down a steep slope and landing hard. Pain shot through her leg once again from the way she landed. This was only making her leg worse and she knew it.
Denari attempted to get up again, but she heard the creature land just behind her. The woman looked up just in time to see the creatures open maw, knowing that the set of large teeth had been reserved for her.
Maybe dying in the crash would have been more ideal....

Cairis watched her husband flee.
Sighing, she met the gaze of the Human woman; the wife of the General - now widow - and mother, still, as she cuddled her son close in an effort to comfort him.
Anger, resentment, pain... sympathy, too - all of it was there in the woman's eyes.
Cairis placed an open palm atop her heart and bowed her head. Then, she discreetly left the service to follow after her mate.
She found him huddled at the base of the Memorial Wall. He was sat beneath it, his arms resting on his upraised knees and one wrist clasped in the hand of the other. His stare was haunted and horrified - and unseeing.
Her heart hurt for him.
She walked over to him and waited, but he didn't notice her.
"Sozal," she said softly.
Hope you don’t mind.
He’s pretty.

Cora was happy when she finally heard that Razok was on his way home. Though the empress was unsure on just how she was going to tell him that she had his child. They a passionate night before he left, but even then, having his child would be a shock for him. She had told her guards to play it low, that she was not going to be announcing her arrival or wanted to be heavily guarded. Though she was sure some people knew she was going to be here, since their relationship was no secret.
After she had given birth to a young princess, her people had celebrated and thrown many different parties. None of them cared of her lineage, since her mother was the queen, and there was no hatred between the two alien races anymore.
Cora wore a thin turquoise cloak that hung off her slender frame. A bright pink blanket swaddled her sleeping baby, as she waited for the ship carrying Razok to land. When she spotted him, a bright smile came onto her lips, though it had a nervous twinge to it. He looked so happy, and she was not one to miss how he froze when he realized she was holding something so carefully against her. Not wanting to force it on him, she waited, till he finally came to her. She rests against him, closing her eyes as she soaked in his warmth. “It isn’t your fault.” She breathed to him, pressing her forehead to his before looking down.
The little kit wiggled inside her blanket, making sounds before her eyes finally opened. Blinking owlishly she looked up at Razok, and making small sounds. “I named her Kephriia.” She told him, brushing back the soft tuffs of dark hair from her eyes. Kephriia was a perfect mixture of her parents, she had pink marks, and Altean features. Yet her father was clearly in her eyes sclera and her dark hair and longer ears. “Do you want to hold your daughter?”

They had to get out of here. They had to get back to their ship, fly away and find another planet to resupply on. The ship was gone, caught in the crossfire and rendered useless. Falor let out a pained cry from the fire shooting up his leg, the large gash making it impossible for him to walk. He could feel his twins arms around him, as Freese did all that he could to hold him up. Their progress was slow, but they were trying to get as far away from the battle field as possible. Falor needed him, but he knew Freese was getting tired, given he was sporting injuries as well.
Freese managed to drag the both of them to a wrecked ship, using it as makeshift shelter from flying debris. He knew it was pointless, but they had to stop, if only for a moment. Freese sat his brother down, and tried to do whatever he could to stop the bleeding from Falor's leg. He took off his shirt, pressing it against the wound. This earned a sharp yelp from him.
"Ow! You're pressing too hard!" Falor hissed, his ears folding back as he tried to pull his leg away. Freese had a firm hold of it, however, and wouldn't let go.
"Please you need to hold still! You're bleeding everywhere..." Freese managed to tie the shirt tightly around the gash, but he could already see it bleeding through.
"You're bleeding too." There was a gash in Freese's side, though thankfully not too deep. It still hurt, though he mustered through it to the best of his abilities. At least this was the worst of their injuries.
A loud crashing sound from outside made the two jump, clinging to each other. It wasn't any use, the battle was all around them, they couldn't get away from it. It was like it covered the whole planet. Their best hope was to stay where they were and to hopefully wait it out. It could be hours, days, or even seconds as anything could happen outside that ends their very world then and there. They just wanted it to stop, and as they sat there holding each other, they wondered if it would have been better to stay home...
