current mood:
Ok so this is the anon who was inquiring about the 13-person session. (I forgot my password, so i had to find my password journal which i had no idea where it was) I was wondering what would be some good tips to help our session become more successful? All of the characters are kinda based off of people me and the co-creator know, so I'm not sure if anyone would be willing to change their god tiers or anything.
I can answer, but… well, you probably won’t like the answer.
There are two ways of approaching this. You can look at it as personality-based, and having who keep who in check to keep everything from spiraling into violent massacres. This is not likely to succeed, however, as forcing friendships could actually cause things to spiral out of control by itself.
Alternately, you can look at your success chance. It is based entirely around who is doomed. If the Thief of Heart survives and the other two Thieves die, then your chances are improved. Likewise, if the Thief of Blood survives and the others die, your chances are lowered. As for the Sylphs, timing also plays a role. If your Sylph of Space is unable to breed the Genesis Frog before she dies, then you are obviously doomed. However, if the Sylph of Space died afterwards, the Sylph of Hope would be able to better wield her power. The best possible outcome could be forced, if you were able to gather the willpower to do so.
Basically, the only surefire way for you to improve your chances of success would be to take fate into your own hands and force the best outcomes, i.e. killing the weakest or most threatening players.
So… yeah.
In my own session, the same situation has arisen. With fourteen people, we have two Princes (Form and Blood), two Mages (Space and Time; the two vital aspects, and one is doomed to die, hahaha), and two Souls (me and a new friend; Mind and Heart, respectively).
So I understand the plight. It’s not the best of situations, and if anything it’s among the worst. My session, too, has multiple extremely powerful players- I, as the Soul of Mind, can actualize any thought I have, allowing infinite creation; my friend, Cerberus, as the Monk of Void, embodies nothingness and can defeat anybody, no matter who, in a matter of seconds; Ariadne, the Soul of Heart, is a walking Deus Ex Machina, and can actualize any will or wish she wants; our Prince of Form, Fenris, can destroy anything he touches in the style of Scar (FMA); and then one of our only passive players, Bastet, can gather up luck and protect anybody.
However, three of us are doomed to die, one of whom is going to be a vital player, and another of whom, either me or Ariadne, is going to be a powerful player. And that is at the least, not including our friendly Lucifer, Prince of Blood, destroyer of friendships, who has a fair chance of screwing the rest of us over on accident.
Basically, it is a highly touchy situation, and it is best to be careful and tread lightly. The Sylph of Hope heals through hope- she is key. Remember that. She is your lodestone player, same as Zephyr, our Duke of Breath, is to us. The Leader is so because they are not only peacekeepers but heroes, and keep everyone else in line and aimed at the goal.
So if you want to increase your chances, there is my advice. Keep her safe. Above all else, keep her safe.
(Oh yeah, and this was my first Session Analysis, I believe.)
whOOps 13 person session anon here, I meant rogue of time not prince of time!
Ah. In that case, it is the opposite. You would have more time, instead.
Good result. That would aid you.
Or, depending, doom you.
Remember, in your session, before all else: time is not your ally. Time is your doom. Your session’s doom is nigh-upon-inevitable- your best hope is to win before Skaia realizes that.
i will NOT fuck the orange juice!!!!!!!!
