Melampsora epitea -rust fungus producing urediniospores (and paraphyses) on Salix myrtillifolia. Stained with KOH(20%). 1000X magnification.
Pucciniastrum areolatum -fungus causing violet and rectangular spots (Urediospores) on Bird cherry (Prunus padus). This is actually a rust fungus that later changes it's host to Norway spruce (Picea abies). So, It is called Cherry-spruce rust!
