have i talked about my self indulgent he/him lesbian vegeta/homophobic bulma vision on here?
it starts with princess vegeta being born... then when frieza starts sniffing around king vegeta is like oh did i say princess? i meant PRINCE. in hopes that would shake off friezas (creepy) interest. it doesnt. obviously. but it sticks and vegeta grows up thinking of himself as a prince. hes muscular and with the armor he wears everyone just assumes hes a man. he doesnt correct them. it wouldnt benefit him to in friezas force. fast forward to after namek when hes staying with the briefs. bulma and yamcha split. bulma jumps vegeta thinking hes a man and then freaks out when she finds out hes a woman because shes NOT GAY thank you. shes straight. shes STRAIGHT. vegetas also overwhelmed/confused about stuff hes feeling but more in a 'i LIKE this person?? i DONT want to kill her?? wtf??' kind of way. and eventually bulma convinces herself that vegeta is so masculine that hes basically a man so it doesnt count as gay. and even if it was a little gay nobody has to know. and if it somehow gets out that theyre fucking everyone assumes vegeta is a man so its fine. and you might ask well how does trunks come about then? and id say bulma invented a shrink watch when she was a teenager. a strap that can get her pregnant would be nothing. shes probably drunk when she makes it.
off shoot of this. bulma finds out vegeta is a woman but instead of convincing herself hes basically a man shes like oh poor vegeta was forced to pretend to be a man all her life. i will help her. i will show her how to be a woman. and tries to give vegeta a makeover/'lessons' on femininity/etc. vegeta doesnt see the point but secretly sort of enjoys bulmas full attention (and the physical closeness that these 'lessons' require). meanwhile bulma gets increasingly frustrated as she tries to repress her lust for vegeta and fails to 'properly' feminize her. eventually boils over and they fuck. cue bulma sexuality crisis.
