"Rusty, would stop squirming for five seconds and let me fix your tie? This place is super picky about stuff like that." Ren whined from the driver seat of his car as he leaned over the center console to pull at the long black tie hung around his boyfriend's neck. "Just... please." Once he finally fixes the tie, somewhat, he climbs out of the car and runs around to the passenger side door to open it before the valet even has the chance. One Rusty was standing beside him he sheepishly handed the valet his keys before taking the baseball star by his hand and leading him up the dimly lit granite stairs. His nerves were running high thinking about how much this was going to cost him, they had granite steps after all with romantic lighting and they weren't even inside yet, but in his mind it was all completely worth it. First dates had to be extravagant, it was the way it went in all the movies and there was some unwritten rule somewhere that said it probably; or something. Archer did this for him as a sign of love, so no matter what happened Ren knew he had to do it for Rusty,
Once they were inside it was like they were in some other world. Surrounded by the hoity-toity social and financial elites dining off of gold rimmed plates while men and women dressed as butlers beckoned to their every need; needless to say, Ren had managed to pick the most expensive place in existence to take Rusty for their first date. The required suits should have been his first clue. "You look amazing in a suit, by the way." The witch whispered to his fox as a snoody, elderly mater-dee lead them to their table. Once they were seated, the menus left out before them, they finally had a moment of privacy to take the splendor in. "Have I told you look amazing yet?"
