suddenly started drawing my giant oc Talar idk how it happened

he's got feathers instead of hair and is some kind of human-beast hybrid that's fairly common in their world, except nobody really knows what kind of beast is his share (spoiler: it's a sea monster that i made up lol)

i've been drawing him since 2008 and he's one of the core characters in this story, and i think i ended up giving him less spotlight out of fear that he will overshadow every other character... somehow i thought he must not be the main character, this story might have looked very different. yeah whatever

he had minimal redesigns and right now might be undergoing one simply because i don't remember what he's supposed to look like lol

i had a weird feeling of duty regarding making certain aspects of the story "realistic". as if a story with furries could be realistic. and one of the first things i had to figure out regarding Talar was where is he going to get his food. so there is a systemic solution for that now. and because of that, every time i'm enjoying some work of fiction with a giant regular, i'm looking out how they solved the food problem. usually most stories just ignore that and im slightly irritated xd

anyway Talar's storyline is mostly based on seeking romance, and for me it's a fairly original plot because i'm not usually writing romance. but i am aware the mainstream stories are all about romance. so i'm not sure how to "advertise" this story to an average person who wants to read it. can you forget all culture you know? no? well then we have a damn problem. but i love Talar. #myproblem uwu

When I was like 14-15 I came up with that one story in my high fantasy setting and it’s still relevant. Warning: it is pretty messed up.

There was a young skilled knight with a huge talent and likable personality, who was assigned to a supportive team and managed to befriend some influential people in the kingdom. Everyone was expecting him to quickly become the greatest knight in the kingdom, maybe one of the greatest in history. The problem was, you can't achieve greatness without great deeds, and there weren't many opportunities for great deeds with no wars and no major threats to fight.

The knight didn't really mind, he just wanted to do his job well, but his best friend, who was also his biggest fan, couldn't let him miss the chance to become famous. So the friend was basically looking for all kinds of thugs, monsters, organized crime and corrupted politicians, exposing them and shouting “Come at me”, and backing off when the knight reluctantly stepped into action. The friend's obsession with the knight was much stronger than any concern for their own safety.

Finally it happened - the friend approached a threat a bit too serious for them and was gone before the knight appeared. Out of grief, the knight managed to become even more awesome than before, and prepared to face this new threat. This duel was meant to be legendary, everyone was talking about it weeks before it started.

The epic fight lasted for days, as the bad guy wasn't impressed a bit by the knight's attacks. Even the most secret techniques were easily dodged by the opponent. The knight finally found a way to win, combining all of his knowledge, all of his skills, and the energy unleashed from his broken heart into a never-before seen kind of attack. When approaching the dying opponent, the knight demanded him to reveal his name, so that it can be remembered for this exceptional duel alongside the knight's late friend, and in horror the knight realized his opponent was actually his friend in disguise, congratulating him with their last breath on becoming the most legendary man ever.

You probably guessed the knight wasn't happy with the outcome.

Skończył się paskudny czas zdawania, obron i innych takich, ale prawdopodobnie dojdę do siebie dopiero za tydzień. I mam problem, bo jest TYLE RÓŻNYCH RZECZY o których bym chciała poopowiadać, i tyle rysunków do narysowania, i nie mogę się doczekać żeby je tu wrzucić, ale samo narysowanie ich zajmie dużo czasu, a ja nie wytrzymam-

więc zrobiłam tego bazgroła ze wszystkim, co mi do głowy przyszło, i pewnie do tych wszystkich rzeczy będę wracać, ale kto wie, na razie trzeba odpocząć.

głównie Ryjkacze, bo mnie ostatnio napadły znienacka. trochę komiksów obecnie w budowie (Dwoje gniewnych, czyli o handlowcach którzy na siebie krzyczą, i OPP, co nie jest skrótem od “obrotowy podgrzewacz powietrza”), i dwóch Ruteryków bo dobrze oddają nastrój.

Brakło miejsca w tagach, więc tutaj oznaczę postacie, żeby dało się znaleźć.

Postanowiłam złamać “limit jednego Stefana” w ruterykach, i żeby było bardziej spektakularnie, to od razu z głównym bohaterem ;w;

Ruteryk “drugi” (znany jako Rutek, Rucio) jest kolegą głównych bohaterów z komendy, do której zostają przydzieleni na początku kariery. Najpierw zajmuje się ich wdrażaniem, potem robi za ich wesołego wujka.

Wielki miłośnik i propagator sucharów, trzyma imponujący zapas w piwnicy - tam, gdzie normalni ludzie trzymają alkohol. Ze względu na brak miejsca w piwnicy jest więc abstynentem. (priorytety...)

Wydaje się, że wszystkim się strasznie przejmuje, do tego zawsze martwi się na zapas i chociaż nie jest takim pesymistą, co by to wątpił w zdolności naszych bohaterów, to nie może przestać mnożyć wizji wszelkich przeszkód, jakie mogłyby stanąć im na drodze. Mimo to nie ma ani jednego siwego włosa.

Jednym zdaniem: metr sześćdziesiąt dwa troski i jeszcze suchary po bokach.

(Ponoć został rycerzem, żeby inni nie musieli się martwić).

Jeszcze nie umiem za dobrze rysować wąsów, więc tymczasowo ma coś w stylu Roberta Johanssona :V W każdym razie przez te wąsy wygląda trochę, jakby miał permanentną kocią buźkę, w sensie :3

Mogłabym nawijać tak aż do rana. Chyba mam nowego ulubieńca z pierwszego etapu fabuły, ech.
