Red vs Blue S16:E8 Recovery Thoughts

FIRST MEMBER SPOILERS BELOW

• After what feels like forever were finally getting some more Wash backstory! I love the fact that he has a cat named Loki that wouldn’t die (symbolism for Wash at its finest).

• Wash’s father was around when he was growing up. It’s wasn’t just him, his mother and sisters as the guide suggested.

• Ok at first I thought Carolina cheating on the obstacle course challenge was bullshit but when I went back and rewatched it, she’s not cheating she’s secretly helping Wash complete the course.

• Wash’s physical self has pretty much healed completely. Mentally though he’s still suffering the side effects of the lapsing. Between the Epsilon incident, being trapped in a room with little oxygen and getting shot in the neck (which I am fully convinced that at some point when Locus was transporting him back to Chorus he stop breathing) I’m surprised he hasn’t gone Caboose on us (considering Caboose pretty much had the same things happen to him)

• I love how Carolina isn’t the least bit concerned with where the Reds and Blues are or what kind of chaos they could be doing

• “I’m not working with a talking Lens flare!” Glad to See Grif and Huggins getting along so well

• I love Grif to death, but I really wish he would let people fucking talk plot this season he’s killing me.

• “Time travel warps weaker minds, drawing them in by offering them the ability to fix their mistakes. If you give into it too deeply, you become a shizno. An agent of Chronos.”

So basically what I’m getting out of this is that Wash is pretty much fucked if he travels though time. And we’re probably gonna have to deal with him and O’Malley.

Will I ever get a moment where I’m not worrying about Wash?

• Poor Carolina sounds like a mother that just lost her 9 children in a Walmart for the 5th time and needs a good hard swig from the flask she keeps in her

purse.

• I can’t help but wonder if we know this old Time Expert. No ones really coming to mind though.

• Ok, so

Good news: Tucker, Kai and Grif are gonna be reunited soon.

Bad news:. We only have one portal gun, which can only transport a max of 2 people. Huggins can warp herself I believe but I’m honestly not sure if she’s capable of taking someone else along with her meaning someone might end up being left behind.

Edit: I’m an idiot. They can all use the portal gun. They’ll just end up back in the present.

• Wash traveling though time is either gonna somehow help mend him or completely shatter what’s left of his already extremely fragile, damaged mind.

Red vs Blue Season 16 Episode 8 First Spoilers

I just wanted to talk about THIS episode. My thoughts and theories. So if you haven't seen it SPOILERS will be ahead.

I watched this episode pretty much 20 minutes after it was "aired," and have been watching it since. Oops.

Anywho, how the episode opened was AMAZING. We finally got to see our Wash and got to hear a story about his cat Loki. (hell we all knew) How this cat SURVIVED everything and died at 25 years. WOW.

After that Carolina shows him the "basic training" course. When Carolina kinda tells him maybe he shouldn't do it but also teases him, he resuassures her that he is fine and can do it. (And get to see their flirting/teasing going on *whispers* Washlina) But...well...he takes a tumble after the equipment breaks and of course Carolina goes to check on him and Wash had one of the "relapse episodes" doesnt know why they were there and get upset about it. (Blaming, what sounded like blaming, Carolina)

Now that is a sting to the heart right?? Cause after ALL these injures that Wash has gone through WE (as fans) get to see the MENTAL state of what he is going through. We saw only the after his recovery, never during his recovery.

Now side note, I saw the comments on RT saying 'how is this possible he didnt get shot in the head.' Let me tell you...

In this diagram the common carotid artiery is hooked to the basliar artery; if you hit that artery you'll loose not only blood but oxygen to the brian. Plus with the other vienes and arteries around it doesnt help. Which is why he is having a hard time remembering or relapsing with his memory.

Okay now done with the Doctor Ninja. (Wanna be 😂) Back to this. It was painful to see not only Wash but Carolina. Like damn. She knows that he is "broken solider." (I had quotations cause he ain't "broken") But like Dr. Grey has told her the brain will 'repair' itself but time can only tell when it will 'completely' heal. The sad part of this is that Carolina knows it and doesn't want to tell him because she doesn't want him or herself to worry.

And just a theory but what if Wash does know that he is forgetting and doesn't want to tell Carolina so she doesn't get worried. I don't know just a theory.

Now Carolina and Dylan (havent seen our little reporter for a while) finds out that our wonderful color space marines have been time traveling. Poor Carolina probably feels like a mother with 10 kids.

Now with the episode ending; having it confirm that Wash has a medical issue going on and actually ALREADY killing us with emotion, he said 'I always bounce back.' (Not the exact words but similar.) THAT kills me. Just cause it goes with my theory that he MAY know that this is going on with him. And its hard to watch. 😥

I hope to the Lords above that he will be OKAY. But knowing this show.

Now Grif. Oh man. Am I the only one getting irritated at him? Cause shit he needs to get himself together. 😂

Joe did an awesome job with this season so far. He has been so awesome, his last season was good but this season...has been awesome! Jen and Shannon's voice acting was amazing so awesome job! 🎉🎊 Love them all. 💗💖
