Lis has never craved freedom like she has today. Whether it be the lack of air-con thanks to their broken system or the stuffiness of a room full of old men she presents with niceties for work’s sake. Another team meeting, another pile of cases she wasn’t chomping at the bit handed out to colleagues, and surprising nobody, another case she wished so dearly to bag for herself, going to him. They’re lucky to have Theo on their floor, but God, why did he have to be almost as good as her?
The moment they’re done with formalities and what not, Lis plucks her phone from her pocket once she hooks her bag over her wrist... Attention divided between blindly trying to type with her thumb alone and heading for the door. She pauses once someone reaches the door, only wide enough for one of them. Lifting her gaze from her cellphone, Lis frowns just a touch “All yours, big man. Just like my case....” Her free hand ushers towards the door, “but don’t let that change your mind will you?”
a starter for theo / @rveries.
