Happy Early Birthday, Clump!
Clump's turning one year old in 3 days! (As I initially created them in the 26th of September 2023), never in a million years would I have expected this silly slugcat, who started off purely as a joke character to mean so much to me and help me through so much, to celebrate this, I figured I should make them a little lore animatic!
The best way I can describe Clump and Five Pebbles is like, a King and Lionheart dynamic but one sided, hence the song choice. (King and Lionheart by Of Monsters and Men)
See Clump, despite claiming they don't care about the iterators on a personal or familial level, does indeed care, they in fact, care so so much for the iterators, especially Five Pebbles, deep down, the iterators subconsciously remind them of the creator they've never known, and they do what they can to help treat Pebbles' rot, Pebbles, on the other hand, is like "why are you blowing things up in my body."
Pebbles sees Clump as a nuisance, some thing that messes with his insides with no rhyme or reason, but guess what! Clump genuinely cares for him! They're genuinely doing what they can to help him despite their lack of grace in their means, And I can imagine them getting frustrated that Pebbles just doesn't see that! They're just trying to help, after all...
Basically they're like SpongeBob and Squidward if SpongeBob was trying to cure Squidward of his turbo-Cancer LMAO
