To RWBY fans...

First of all, I know this is only my opinion, but I'm sharing it anyway. If you agree great, if you don't please don't attack me with yours, just explain calmly, why you don't agree.

With that said, here it goes...😑

With everything that's going on with the story and how fans are responding, I think it could be handled better. The shipping war is irrelivant to the story and characters, and overall is a big insult to Crewby and the memory of Monty in general.

Again, I don't know Monty, I never did, but I know those who worked with him did. They are all trying to keep his idea alive however they can and I think they aren't getting enough credit for that.

I mean some people are even getting death threats, yes death threats over fiction. Instead of trying to one up one another with "how they would write it" or "what ship is canon", why don't we all try constructive criticism or possible ideas on how something could work in another way without harping on what's already done.

If you don't like the show anymore for whatever reason, don't continue with it. Don't even talk about it, if your friends are into it just explain it to them why you're not. Hatred and disses are only gonna make things worse.

If you have an opinion sure you can put it out there just be aware not everyone will agree and that is fine. If you don't like something you don't have to be in it.

Honestly, half of these whiners are just in it to make fights and cause trouble. The shipping war is such an arguement. It has no point to be there its just people who want their way to win over others. In my opinion, its a waste of time. So what if one ship becomes canon or not, it has nothing to do with the plot or story. Maybe a good subplot but nothing to freak out over

In the end, all I have to say is let's discuss it in a polite and dignified way. If you love it great. If you have issues talk it out. If you're to the point of boiling over a shipping war, maybe its time to walk away.

All in all, if you don't like it and are pissed about it and you want to rant about why your take or ship is better...I have one and only one piece of advice for you

That's what FANFICTION is for.

Let's be good to one another and let the rain wash away all the toxicity.

We don't need anymore of that at all.

i dont even like roosterteeth that much but all the accusations pointing towards them stealing shit is gettin old and no one has provided concrete evidence of anything other than RT possibly taking influence from other forms of media

RWBY Vol. 4 Chap. 9 Spoilers

So I watched RWBY chapter 9.... I'm glad how far Yang has come ever since the fall of Beacon. Also I'm glad that Weiss is also becoming stronger too when she summoned that knight. And Whitley being smug as heck ugh, he pisses me off. I love her butler though (I forgot his name sorry) he seems like the only person who cares about Weiss at Atlas. I'm also upset that Sun got hurt T_T. With Qrow's condition, I hope they both don't die. I feel like the next chapter is gonna hit me like a truck.

Have you read Shane's open letter about Monty? How do you feel about it?

I read the summary. I already didn’t have the most positive opinion about RoosterTeeth as a company. But at the same time I feel like Shane made have been overdramatic about some things. 

The whole thing with Monty’s wife is really screwed up. Not letting her be involved with Monty’s work, even if they were trying to be professional by doing that, I feel like they were doing the exact opposite. Really big companies, like say, Blizzard, take a lot of pride in giving everyone everything they need during a time of loss. If this entire event had happened at Blizzard, the wife of the deceased one would’ve been given much more leisure and be allowed to view their loved one’s works. And when a HUGE company like Blizzard is able to provide that service, that speaks very ill of RoosterTeeth. They are jerks for that. 

At the same time, on Shane’s behalf, I feel like he was trying far too hard. Companies eventually need to adapt and move on. They all loved Monty, and they all miss him. No one specifically wants to change Monty’s ideas for the sake of spiting everyone. But when Monty’s creativeness is not here with us anymore, there’s no way to know that you’re doing the right thing by trying to copy what he would do on a 1 to 1 scale. It’s best to go into another direction, but also tell it in a way Monty would. That way you have room for your own creative freedom, while also carrying on Monty’s legacy. Monty wasn’t selfish, if he’s looking down on RT and saw that his show was being taken into a new direction, do you think he would honestly care? No. He’d be happy that the show is taking off at all, that his characters are being brought to life. 

That all being said, Shane is in the right about a few things. But he’s also proven that he lacks the ability to adapt and move on from a business standpoint. And because of this open letter he felt the need to leave to everyone, his career is pretty much over. No one is going to want to hire him after this. Was it really, really worth it?

Gonna stay neutral, none if it is going to.stop making watch Rwby tbh. It is upsetting to hear what has been done. But this show means so much to me tbh. Anyway I'm done with the drama, don't need it. I'll stay in my corner like this didn't happen, night night

i watched rwby chibi

i was not expecting it to be less than 4 minutes long.. i’m glad i didn’t pay to watch this early

the only part that was remotely cute was ruby making cookies. everything else was just.. i got pretty much nothing out of that.
