I’m annoyed. And I’m angry.

So, apparently Rafael Luna and Liam (Alex’s best friend from Texas) are being combined into one character.

First, Liam and Raf are two completely different characters. Combining them makes no sense.

Second, Rafael Luna is such an important character. Seeing an older gay, poc man be secure in his sexuality and willing to fight for what he believes in is admirable in itself, not to mention that Luna is integral to the plot. Why change this?

I’m interested to see who this new character will be and what his role in the movie will be, but mostly I’m worried.
