Wilhelm’s eye was acting up again. Probably because of the rot and really no matter how many times Jack reminded the cyborg about it, he can’t seem to do anything that would stop it permanently. Replacing it could only do so much. But the pain was tolerable.

“Jack, it’s fine. I’m fine.” 

“No.” Was Jack’s stubborn reply.

The Hyperion CEO patted his lap and gestured the other to lie down. “Chop, chop, pumpkin. I don’t have all day!” He could’ve just directed Wilhelm to the nearby laboratory but that would take time and effort on his account. He was in a comfy position on a comfy couch. The only reason he’d get up is if he got bored.

“Well? I’m waiting.”

Jack gritted his teeth, trying to calm himself down. He lost control, didn’t he? The eye of the Destroyer was gone and there was no way to get it back. Yelling at it won’t work let alone force his vault hunters to it.

He sighed, turning the ECHO back on. It took a moment for him to gather his words. 

“I’m… I’m sorry, Wilhelm. I lost my cool there. Just. I… Get back to the station. Take the rest of the day off. I’m… I’m going to… Just. Whatever. See you.”
