{💣}—; Roo awakened feeling a chill in the air, upon looking up he realized he was no longer at home nor in his museum he was in some kind of marble hallway with a cold, yet polished floor. It was strange, because the last thing he remembered was taking some time to read and relax before he saw what appeared to be, a portal?

The marsupial couldn’t say for certain but it must have been given that he was in a very unfamiliar location. Regardless he had to figure out where this was, so he quickly got to his feet and hung his cane on one of his crossed arms, bound still by his fancy custom straitjacket that looked like a button up shirt to complete he more dapper, and fancy look.

The kangaroo walked down the hall and peered outside to see what appeared to be snowy mountains, no wonder he could feel a chill in the air, but he also felt some kind of presence, perhaps mystical.

“Goodness...now just where might this be?” He asked himself, as he walked into the open, feeling the cold grass under his feet as he walked, curiously looking around hoping to find someone out here.

Science Abuse

Wizard Peak’s resident performance artists would have only needed to have been left unsupervised for just a couple of minutes before this had been allowed to unfold.

What was once a pristine section of the hallway had now been drenched in dark purple across a fifteen foot radius - bar the distorted Hexus-shaped gap against the wall - following an attempt at creating colourful bubbles with a combination of telekinesis, a tub of paint and a poorly-researched matter duplication spell.

And if that hadn’t happened to be enough of a shock for the locals, the fact that it was Roy and not Sigfried who had been responsible for planning and executing the near entirety of the process definitely was.

Consequently, they were soon escorted over to Alpine Ridge in the hopes that a certain alchemist could set them on the straight and narrow - or at least help them to improve their skills so that future accidents wouldn’t get this bad if they seemed that desperate to fool around with this kind of magic behind people’s backs.

At this point though, the duo only hoped that Hexus would have calmed down once he finished talking to Eldrid.

Nearby Tomas watched as Nestor helped everyone around him. Most days the bard was trying to focus on making new songs to entertain others. However, whenever Tomas saw Nestor around the bard couldn’t help but silently follow. There was a spell he knew which could render him invisible for a time. This meant he could get close so long as he didn’t make too much sound. Which with the bell anklet could be hard. So Tomas was close but not that close.

The leader of the Artisans always put the needs of others before himself. It almost felt unfair to always push yourself yet never be allowed a moment of selfishness. Tomas felt a desire to do something about it. Nestor already looked tired so putting him to sleep with a spell might cause him to sleep normally. The sleep spell could only keep one sleeping for a minute. But if Tomas did this Nestor might simply nap, dream peaceful dreams.

(I normally wouldn’t…but you need to rest for once Nestor. Just for an hour if anything. The realms ask too much of you. I won’t let them take you away. You have to allow time for yourself, or you will never be truly happy.)

Tomas began to play a soft tune as he tried to put Nestor into sliumber.

The hit to the back caused Tomas to nearly drop his lute which was rather precious to him. Tomas wasn’t the type to get upset though, Magnus was larger than life! One should expect such energy from a hardened warrior! Which was something Tomas wished he was once given what his brother Titan was like. The fact Tomas was related to Titan was known to the dragons, but it wasn’t spoken of often since everyone was like family anyway. However, Titan and Tomas were joined at the wing within their egg. Both of them came out of the same egg Titan being the strong one, while Tomas was more frail. Tomas had been quite the coward too, clinging to Titan for comfort a lot.

“How are you? And how is Titan? I’ve been rather lax with talking to him.”

Tomas did feel some guilt about that, but there was anger too, For many reasons, but Tomas didn’t like to hold grudges. Plus, he did still love Titan. Partly the reason he was coming to Magnus first was to get an idea of how Titan was before Tomas made a move to reconnect. Being seperated into Artisan and Peace Keeper made it harder for them to stay together.

“Oh, uh yes I believe it is a holiday for lovers Nestor. However, this isn’t for that. Friends give them to one another too! I intend to make one for Spyro.”

Yes, good way to cover up the lie Tomas. You said it perfectly! There was no way that small blush was noticable. Or the fact your tail is wagging nervously. Or how you’re gripping your lute just that extra bit tight. Normally, Nestor never suspected Tomas’s real intentions. Although, he did give gifts to Nestor every so often. But, Tomas figured they were spaced out enough to not imply anything. Tomas was rather cunning in that way. To hide his emotions, yet still give the person of his affections gifts. He was a master of trickery!

“How is your work by the way? Not too much trouble I hope?”

A Song Of Play

Tomas’s fingers danced in perfect tandem over the strings of his lute. It was a calming song, yet there were times that Tomas had used this tune as he told stories of brave dragons from centuries past. Unlike a certain other Storyteller, Tomas prided himself on making his tales interesting with dramatic flourishes and musical accompaniment. One always got more attention from an audience that way, especially when they were young and attention had to be grabbed.

“Once upon a time, in  an age of wonder and mystery. A foul beast plagued the land, this beast was known to place a terrible curse upon all who witnessed it!”

Tomas stamped his foot down while playing a frightening sound with his lute.

“Oh, yes that was perfectly timed. I bet I’ll cause a scare or two with that!”

Tomas laughed to himself as he sat upon a bench within his tower looking down upon the Artisan Homeworld. He was one who secluded himself when he needed time to work on new routines or songs or lyrics for his art. This was one such time. Anyone who truly knew him though, knew this was a spot he often came to for such things. rxignitxd-dragons
