Dorne burns to avenge Elia so much so that the smallfolk even years later speak of her and her children as people who need justice. Oberyn died to try to bring that justice about, and Dorne burns to avenge him.

Tell me dear RxL shippers and simps, who burns to avenge them? Which region would die for them? Would anyone die to avenge Rhapist? Could you see Roose Bolton dying for Lyanna?

No one in the North cares about Lyanna. EVERYONE in Dorne cares about Elia!

RxL Week Day 4: Tropes

One of my favourite things about RxL is the subversion of the "evil knight/prince kidnapping the innocent maiden" trope so I name this piece The Dragon Princess and the Knight.

Cuando una persona dice que no es racista, pero creen que todas las personas de un lugar son iguales (como comparar a Elia con Arianne o Oberyn, porque ya sabes... Dornienses)

Oh por otro lado, defiende el amor tóxico, porque cree que este es cuando una de las partes es mala con la otra, cuando en realidad son ambar partes las que se dañan, y muchas veces se ve como romántico pero no lo es (por ejemplo: rhaegar y lyanna), pero es más fácil culpar a otros, los padres, las circunstancias, la familia, etc.

Mi punto es que todos tenemos nuestras opiniones, pero no mamen tampoco se pasen queriendo tapar el sol con un dedo. Cuando tus acciones "por amor" perjudican a un montón de personas incluyendo a tu familia (asesinato) no hiciste algo bueno, solo eres un imbécil, pero es más imbécil el que lo defiende.

Y así podría seguir y seguir. Pero no tiengo ni tiempo ni ganas.

What the hell was any of Rhaegar and Lyanna even about? There are so many hints that Rhaegar did what he did in full confidence that his son with Lyanna, the one whose song is a song of ice and fire, was the prince that was promised. Say what you will about Rhaegar and his actions, but the woman whose mouth this prophecy comes from was right about everything else.

The show reduced Jon’s true identity, that of a Targaryen, just to pit him against Daenerys. So basically, Rhaegar and his entire family dying really didn’t matter, because the utter destruction and extinction of House Targaryen is nigh, and at Jon’s hand, no less.

Also, you really gonna tell me that the Lord of Light, who gave Melisandre visions of Jon as the prince that was promised, really brought Jon back just to betray his aunt? That is what his purpose on Planetos was, all along? It really seemed like R’hllor’s fight was against the dead.

And if we’re meant to root against House Targaryen, why not just tell us Rhaegar was a rapist? If all this boils down to is Stark vs. Targaryen, why bother putting a lovestory in the mix? Just to hit harder on the “love is futile” theme?

Again, maybe I’m wrong and Jon lives and impregnates someone else who then gets the Targaryen name. Frankly, I don’t care.

Because as far as I see it, Daenerys is the last dragon. And if Jon betrays her, then like his uncle Viserys, he’s less than the shadow of a snake.
