He's running late and he knows it, and the idea itself repels him because he's never late. The realization it's nothing to worry about comes right after, when Edward practically runs into the glass door and it doesn't push open like it usually would, it stays there, solid and close and causing pain to burst in his ribs where they collided with the hard material. Which means he's the first there and it's good because at least he won't get yelled at for coming late, but it also makes him wonder how come nobody has arrived yet. He shrugs over it anyway, rummages through his bag to find the keys so he can finally unlock the bloody door and walks into the store, letting it shut after himself and hearing the ring as it collides with the ring above that usually announces arrival of customers coming to search for some new tunes to listen to. He turns the lights on, makes his way through the huge room, eyes taking in the surroundings the knows so well already but is sure they'll never seem not interesting to him, ears waiting to hear the door open again because he knows he's not going to be alone here much longer.
