Politico reported that Rick Bright, former chief of the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority, will join Biden’s coronavirus task force, assuming Biden is declared the winner of the presidential election once the results become official.
Bright claimed that he was removed from his role because he questioned the efficacy of hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malaria drug touted by Trump as a treatment for the coronavirus.
However, as Politico noted in April, Bright praised the Trump administration’s push for using the drug.
