✁ Ryan gets jealous very easily and very often
✁ He’s not insecure or anything, it just rubs him the wrong way when he’s not the one getting your attention or someone other than him is making you smile too much for his liking
✁ Especially if that someone is another man
✁ When he is jealous, he’s either really touchy, unreasonable, snarky, or violent. No matter which one he feels like indulging with it’ll be awful and/or embarrassing on your end
✁ He notices your friends spending too much time around you and keeping you from spending time with him instead? Ryan is now hovering over you 24/7
✁ You’re going to hang out with comrades? He’s going too. You have a meeting to attend? He’s standing right next to you the entire time.
✁ You can try to ignore his presence, but even though it’s impossible for your friends to see the way he’s glaring daggers into them, the soot emitting from the man less than a foot behind you and dirtying the entire room is a dead give away.
✁ Let’s hope no one ever has the audacity to try to flirt with you because Ryan has no shame in going up and telling them off (with many, many threats included).
✁ Isn’t against using violence to get his point across either, especially if they’re of lower status. You’ve walked in on Ryan with a foot on someone’s head while threatening to cave their skill in if they ever look in your direction again far too many times.
✁ If intimidation doesn’t work which is highly unlikely then he can resort to getting handsy
✁ If someone is eyeing you from across the room then he makes a point out of putting an arm around your shoulders or waist, having you sit in his lap, kissing any exposed skin, etc.
✁ As much as he might not like too much pda, he hates other people interfering or having their eyes on you even more
✁ Will be wary and hostile towards anyone he sees as a potential rival
✁ Don’t get him wrong, there’s no way Ryan is intimidated by them or believes that they pose any threat to him, your relationship on the other hand…
✁ It’s more so him being aggravated by anyone having the audacity to try to capture your attention or get you to leave him for them instead
✁ Ryan would never be upset at you for these things, instead he takes it out on the culprit, or in the case that he doesn’t know who it is, ex: a secret admirer leaving you gifts, he takes it out on anyone unfortunate to be in the area
✁ Don’t let him find out you have a secret admirer, he will raise hell and dedicate all of his time into finding and curb stomping them
✁ If you reassure him that there’s no way he’d ever be replaced and how you belong to him and him only, he might consider letting it go, but it takes a lot of coaxing
✁ Overall a very possessive partner and 9/10 will get jealous over the smallest things, a real handful to deal with but the thought of knowing that he’s getting himself all worked up over you is at least somewhat comforting

✁ Dating Ryan means he’d treat you like a goddess and a right hand man at the same time
✁ He doesn’t mind PDA, but won’t allow it to be anything super sweet or affectionate because he believes that it will make him seem weak and will taint the way the rest of the third floor residents see him
✁ And rightfully so, considering the rest of them normally see him as very arrogant and not someone who comes off as the romantic type so seeing him more casual around you would be out of character.
✁ That being said, he does have a soft side for you whenever the two of you are alone and enjoys the affection when no one is watching.
✁ Loves it when you run your hands through his hair or twirl his curls around your finger but will die before he ever admits it.
✁ When the two of you aren’t alone he prefers smaller signs of affection. Likes to sling an arm around your shoulders since he’ll always make sure he’s sitting down next to you.
✁ If you’re shorter than him then sometimes he’ll rest his arm on your shoulders or the top of your head (and teases you about it too). Definitely is the type to make you jump or stand on your toes for a kiss. If you’re taller then he insists you lean or bend down to accommodate his height so he can still rest his arm on top of you or kiss you and he’d hate it if you look down on him.
✁ Prone to patting your head whether you’re smaller, the same height, or taller than him. If you’re taller, though, expect him to pull you down by the collar to do so.
✁ If the two of you were dating then you’d most likely be another resident of the third floor since he’d look down on anyone lower.

✁ Loves to poke fun at you and is very sarcastic and blunt to the point where others wonder how you put up with him being a bastard nearly 24/7, but he makes up for it with how mellow and more relaxed he is around you compared to everyone else in return
✁ Yeah the way Edward despises everyone on the third floor and talks shit about them after sucking up to them, especially Ryan??? If he ever found out someone was doing that to you, you might as well consider them discarded and forgotten since it’s highly unlikely they’ll ever be seen again once he gets his hands on him.
✁ EXTREMELY protective. Doesn’t tolerate anyone disrespecting or speaking ill of you. Someone insults you? He handles it. Someone mocking you? He’ll deal with it. Someone making awful jokes about you or hurting you emotionally or physically in any way shape or form? Rest assured they’ll regret it when he’s done with them.
✁ Will threaten to discard someone or make their life a living hell if they bump into you while walking and there 100% has been an incident where he nearly made someone piss their pants out of fear after getting on their case for not apologizing after stepping on your shoe, just a major guard dog overall.
✁ Will state that he’d do again no matter how embarrassing it was for you.
✁ Keep an eye on him because it’s very likely he’ll break bones or worse if you don’t keep him in line. If you encourage it, however, then it’ll only boost his confidence even more and all hell will break loose. He’ll never say it but you have way more control over him than you might think.
✁ Ryan will occasionally ask you to show your face when the two of you are alone to admire it since no one ever really shows theirs unless necessary, but it’s not very often.
✁ He, however, will be very against showing his if you’re ever being affectionate, cuddling, etc. because he can get flustered by big displays of affection and normally has the privilege of being a shadow and having no visible features to hide that fact.
✁ Expects you to always back him up if he ever gets heated with anyone else on the third floor. It’s not likely that it’ll be a full blown argument, but if he’s ever complaining or pointing something out he’ll look to you or Dorothy for a second opinion.
✁ Has said “Y/N agrees with Ryan, don’t you?” While turning and waiting for you to do so more times than you can count on both hands.
✁ And yes, he’ll want you to agree with him every time. Yes, even if what he said is wrong, biased, or cruel.
✁ Speaking of Dorothy, a lot of the romantic gestures you’ll occasionally get from him will come from him getting advice from her on how to please you since she’s the one he “tolerates the most”, in his own words.
✁ Is very confident in himself and loves it when you compliment or praise him, though everyone else believes that his ego doesn’t need to be any bigger.
✁ Enjoys egging you on if you do give in and praise him more and gets annoyed if you don’t.
✁ Has high standards when it comes to who he wants to date, but rest assured that none of it involves looks, especially considering he rarely gets to see your face and vice versa.
✁ It’s up to you to stop him or talk him down if he ever gets worked up over something since he does have a short temper. Things like putting a hand on his shoulder or grabbing his hand if he’s ever yelling or emitting too much soot usually do the trick when it comes to that.
✁ Brags about you to the rest of the third floor all the time, flaunting his s/o and the fact that he’s the one who got the honor of dating you and vice versa is something they have to put up with on the daily.
✁ Gives the best kind of kisses, but they’re usually quick fleeting ones in public and more passionate when the two of you are alone.
✁ A good listener and encourages you to rant or talk to him if you need to. Will offer advice, but if it’s over something that’s been making you upset, whether minor or major, do expect for most of his suggestions to involve violence, putting someone in their place, or overall maliciousness.
