It was rare that Bonnie had trusted the two egoistical pricks to be alone, afraid one would run their mouth and the other would shut them up with violence. However, she was away on a shopping trip with the girls, something that Caroline had demanded was a necessity. Damon had been weary about spending any time with Ryan. He was still positive that he was going to murder the boy some day and actually having to talk to him more would only throw a wrench into the plan. He wasn’t about to actually like this twin of his, though it didn’t seem like he had much of a choice. Playing house wife to the guests of the Salvatore home, Damon spent most the day cleaning everything and going grocery shopping so that it would be stocked with food for when Bonnie came back. Just as he finished putting away the last of the stuff, the vampire could swear it sounded like he heard someone practically screaming? The more he tuned into the voice, the more he heard Ryan crying out. All Damon could here was Amanda over and over. He hadn’t known much about Ryan’s family, hadn’t really known who they were, but he had known that the other man was close to his family. It was only safe to assume that he was dreaming of something that had happened to them. It was the first time that he had seen the other be anything other than a cocky son of a bitch. He used his vamp speed to quickly erase the distance between the kitchen and the bedrooms. He took his time waiting over to the bed, trying not to catch the other off guard. “Ryan.” His voice was calm almost soothing as his hand reached out and rested on the other’s shoulder. “Ryan, it’s okay, it’s all a dream.” Even if he knew that it was probably just a horrible memory, Ryan was in a better place now, he was with them, and that was something to hold on to, even when the two boys got on each other’s nerves. “It’s just Damon, wake up.”
