STATUS — closed to @ryantos ◈ Ryan sneaks into Tara’s dorm place of work in order to avoid their ex.

While working at Ithaca Inn hadn’t been Tara’s first - or second, or third - choice of employment, it was where she had ended up nonetheless. And after a few weeks there, she had found herself rather enjoying the job. It was part-time, so it wasn’t too intense, and it was a good way to pass her time and get out of the house: she was shy and introverted, but still eager to try and meet new people. Really, this job had turned out to be a blessing. 

Except on days like this, when the Inn is quiet, and the minutes pass slowly and Tara cannot wait until her shift is over and she can escape the stifling boredom that comes with any job when there is nothing to do. 

Suddenly, though, she was startled out of her reverie by the appearance of Ryan: what is he doing here?, she wondered, her brows knitting together in confusion. “Can I help you?” She asked; confusion aside, her job was to be polite to people who came in: she was a receptionist, after all, the face of the business. She had the Inn’s reputation on her shoulders. Although... she couldn’t resist prying, just a little: it was Ryan, they were friendly, she felt comfortable enough to ask. “What are you doing here?"
