me: realistically, byeler will probably never be canon or even acknowledged and Will is most likely going to end up in a forced relationship with a girl because heteronormality and all that. by continuing to believe so would only result in my hopes getting crushed and ruining my love for the show.  

my brain: ok but,, what about the crazy together scene??? and how mike said that becoming friends with will was the best thing he had ever done??? even after meeting el and getting together with her. and how he was so determined that he could find will and that he was alive and how he never gave up on him?? even though his friends, family, and people close to him all believe he was dead?? how all throughout s2 they were always side by side??? how he never left will alone?? how he slept in a hospital chair just so he still be with him??? how he volunteered to check up on him and called repeatedly and when joyce wouldnt answer he went to their house and BANGED on the door??? how he held wills hand when he was scared as shit??? how sad he looked when will went to dance with the girl at the snowball even tho he was the one that said he should go and dance with her??? HOW THEY FUCKING LOOK AT EACHOTHER???? HOW MUCH THEY CLEARLY CARE AND TRUST EACHOTHER?????????

honestly, when johnathan tells will that hes a freak and will asks him if thats why he doesnt have any friends is still the funniest thing to me shdjdjdjd

ok so here are some trans byeler hcs, because im here to provide;

under the cut cus its kinda long

- mike had always been more comfortable being boyish. like, he felt comfier in boys clothing and with shorter hair and partaking in "boy" activities. he always thought he was just a tomboy. but, sometimes when ppl called him a boy (accidentally) he felt happy. he felt better than how he did when he was called a girl. but he never thought too much abt it.

- once, when he was 12, he overheard his parents talking abt trans ppl. but he didnt rlly know what that was so he asked nancy and she explained to him. and he has this sudden realization. hes like "oh shit. yeah thats me hahahahbsh"

- he hates himself for a bit, bec hes like "this isnt normal. im a weirdo im a freak." but sooner or later he starts to accept himself. bec thats who he is!!! why spend so much energy hating urself for something u cant change?

- so, he comes out to will first bec of course. and he expects will to be disgusted or hate him. but will is pretty accepting and tells him "i guess, i am too"

- and mikes like "????????what????" and will tells him that hes been feeling pretty much the same but just didnt know that he was trans. like, he didnt have the terms to describe himself. and thats hes happy that he had found them. and that hes not alone.

- mike is also happy bec now he has someone that can help him with his dysphoria and help him keep his mind off of it.

- so for the rest of the day, the look through a book of baby names looking for one thats fit them the most.

- "wade?" "no" "wren?" "no" "hmm, william?" "yeah!!!!"

- mike chooses mike and will chooses william (will for short!!) and it feels so good.

- "hello will, im mike." "hey, mike. im will."

- theyre in a fit of giggles theyre so happy bec theyre names fit them!!! and can be themselves to each other!!

- they tell the rest of the party and theyre all super supportive!!! and call them mike and will and use he/him pronouns. and theyre so grateful cus they have the best friends!!!!

- mike and will share clothes bec they only have a selective amount of boys clothes (dustin and lucas give them some of their old clothes and will gets johnathans clothes that dont fit him)

- the clothes they have fit them awkwardly but it feels 100x better then their other clothing so they take what they can get

- so, cut to where mike is 15 and will is 14. will came out to joyce and johnathan, and they supported him no matter what!! they started calling his chosen name and joyce would buy him more boy clothes. and him and mike started saving up to get binders for them.

- mike hangs out at the byers house more then his own home bec joyce and johnathan call him his chosen name and the right pronouns. but when hes home he gets rlly dysphoric and just ends up radioing will and just rambling.

- mike really wants to cut his hair since its a sort of longish bob. so he and will go to the bathroom with a pair of scissors and a ref photos for what kind of haircut he wants. so will cuts of most of his hair and its looks like a choppy, fluffy mop of hair. but mike is in love with it. he just cries of happiness and hugs will tightly.

- when he goes home the next morning, karen is like "what happened to ur hair [deadname]? u look like a boy!!! im not going to have u looking like that!!!" and mikes not here for it today. and hes like "what if i what to look like a boy huh? ever thought abt what I want and not what you THINK i want??" and karens goes "excuse me??" and mike justs yells out; "im trans mom!! if u even paid 3 seconds of attention u would have probably noticed!! but no! u dont care, u never cared!!"

- he just storms off and bikes off to wills. like he doesnt even care anymore he just wants to be feel supported and cared for.

- he doesnt knock, he leaves his bike out front and goes through wills window. and will is confused but once he sees mike is crying he understands. mike walks over to his bed and just puts his head on his shoulder and just tells him everything.

- and will runs his hands through his hair and tells mike how much he cared for him and what he means to him.

- "without u i would have never known who i really am. u mean so much to be its heartbreaking to see u so sad. u deserve the world and i love u so much."

- mike just falls asleep in his arms. he loves that boy honestly???? like, he feels so at peace near will and he never wants to leave.

- the world is peaceful for a second as mike and will fall asleep together

I’m rewatching s2 rn and I’m at the part where there at the shed and are trying to get Will to talk and u know how goes with him? Joyce johnathan and mike. I get why Joyce and johnathan ,, but mike??? I mean if it Lucas and Dustin were there too i would understand bec they’re his closest friends,, but only mike?????? Hmm???????? this means mike and will have a closer bond then will does with Lucas and Dustin. Which means their relationship is goes beyond just friends.

i was watching st with my sister and my dad, and when joyce and bob kissed my sister says to me, “i thought she was dating the sheriff” and so did my dad and im just like djdjdjdjjds
