NOOOO MY PROBLEMATIC FAV NOOOOOOOOOO. Deserved death but I'll miss the drama he caused.

What would you say Zarya was like as a character? Any backstory we didn't get to see? What drove him?

How is Ryeshade feeling? What was the final push to literally push that man? Was it planned or in the moment impulse? How are the cats depicted feeling about his death?

I remember he had the personality trait of "nervous" or "insecure" or something of the like and I kind of run with the idea of him having borderline personality disorder or something of the sort.

As somebody with borderline it's really easy to latch onto whatever makes you feel good about yourself because borderline makes you deeply insecure, and lash out/change attitude on a dime if something bothers you or relieves you. Anything can tip the scale in your emotions. I think he is vain, and his vanity is one of the only things he was secure about. Many people finding him attractive and wanting to be with him is a good ego boost, and when you feel like you've messed up too many times in a relationship it's easy to feel like you need to shut it down and move on. I think he's bad at handling relationships and can only pursue them while they make him feel attractive, and then when he does something that hurts the other person and their perception of him sours he knows he's ruined it and needs to move on.

Same with his kids, they looked up to him for a long time, and now as they grew up and don't have an unquestioning reverence for their father, he's ruined it, and he's going to move on.

As for Ryeshade:

I won't do in character answers for EVERY SINGLE cat depicted in one ask, if anyone has more specific questions for any of them I will do it in those.

the short is that all of his kids have very difficult feelings they weren't fully able to process before he died of realizing somebody you really looked up to and trusted your whole childhood isn't very kind all the time. Mintglint is mourning him the most and is very focused on how important he was to her as a child, Avalancheriver is angrier at him and refusing to grieve him as strongly as her sister, and Hickorycry is a gentler and and less aggressive version airing closer to Avalancheriver's perspective.

Ryeshade is very protective of them.

Iceraven left everything she knew to join a clan with somebody she was excited to start a life with and meet the family of, only to realize everyone she was excited to meet was cold at best to Zarya and now he is abruptly dead. She has has no friends to grieve with.
