Adelaide City Council staff: bright green Rymill Park lake quite safe, just a visual matter and will be gone in a week.
The Adelaide Zombie Walk 2012
So today is Saturday, 6th October 2012, and the time currently is 5:07 PM. Right now, a thousand or two will be starting to get ready for this years Adelaide Zombie Walk. Like some people going, I will not be putting on fake blood and a costume and a story to go with it. I will still be going, to film such an event that happens once a year, where people walk and try to raise money for Foodbank SA. Money and canned food accepted.
Basically, everyone dressed up as zombies, walks from point A, Rymill Park, to point B, Light Square, I think, and then proceeds to party somewhere dill dawn, or 2 AM. Whenever is good.
And yes, I suddenly forgot everything I was going to write in the second paragraph.. And now it's 5:15 PM.
ZOMBIES!! BRAINS!!! And I'll have a couple videos on youtube today/tomorrow.
It's been a nice couple of days since getting back from Pichi. Mostly just lying on the couch and catching up on everything that happened since I left. However, lying on the couch is a lonely activity, and quite quickly I decided I needed to get out of the house.
Going into public today after spending a whole week seeing the same fifty faces was a slightly daunting prospect, but I live to spend time around people, so I was glad when my friend suggested we do another veggie review today.
We met under a tree outside the State Library, and then walked up through the mall to Zen. I decided that as she was going to chose from the oriental menu, I would review something from the western, meat substitute, menu. I hadn't had an SFC burger in a while so I ended up going with one of those.
After lunch, we walked down to Rymill Park at the base of Rundle Street and lay under a tree for a couple of hours while we caught up on each other's lives and discussed the state of the world. Then we walked back up through the ciy to Chocolate Bean where my friend was meant to meet someone else for a coffee. Her other engagement cancelled as we walked though, so I stayed with her instead. All in all, it was a very nice, relaxed day. The perfect catch up to welcome me back into the world.
