You better appreciate this, ElRoy, because I’m probably going to claim this as your Christmas present from me.
So, my school’s last volleyball game of the season is in about 40 minutes, and my sister’s playing. And thus, I am writing a tooth-rottingly fluffy Sam/Reader ficlet for her, because she needs all the Sammy love she can get.
This is for you, @elroymarvelous! I hope we win our game! (And if we lose, consider this your consolation prize.)
Call Home
Lil excerpt thingie from THE THING that I’m writing. Dedicated to @casandsip, the reason that fic exists, and who is an absolute sweetheart who deserves all the Sabriel I can give her. Here you go, darling! *blows kisses*
ONWARDS!!
"What in the hell happened to you?" "A wide variety of things, most of which I'm not willing to talk about, but that included beating one of my boyfriends in an interuniversal sparring contest and kissing a god." A pause. "It's been a very strange week, okay? And alternate universes are weird."
~ahhh i love canonical crossovers~
"Do you have any idea," they ask, head tilted to the side, "what it is to be a tool? Nothing but a weapon, a pawn, in someone else's scheme, but you go along with it because it's better than drifting?" "Yes," and, "Yes," and, "Yes."
multiverse~
"If I go with you... I die." "And everyone else will live." "...Where will we end up?" "That's up to you."
Alexandriel smiles vaguely. "It's not like there was nothing between us back then," he murmurs thoughtfully, chin propped on his hands. "It's just that, well..." "There was less," S supplies. "You had Magnus, I had Jaciel." "But things are different, now," Alexandriel says. "We are different." "Very much so," S agrees, and brushes a thumb under the angel's eye. "Want to see if it's still there?" "Of course," Alexandriel agrees, and S flickers into a single person. "Always wanted to try this," Symeon admits, and presses his mouth to Alexandriel's.
here we go again (straight into your embrace)
His eyes glitter like black opals. "Oh, Clary," he smiles, tapping his fingers against the table, "just because I look like S doesn't mean I am them." She swallows. "What are you, then?" "Something else," he murmurs, the lights in the room flickering. A knot twists in Clary's chest, recognition dancing along buried neural pathways, a warning jangling in a mind not hers. "Something rather less... human."
