I’ve heard a lot of people question why Ryuko’s hair isn’t entirely blue when wearing Junketsu, and although I admit that would be cool, the way they handled it was perfect.

They had part of her hair change to blue to show that she was being affected by Junketsu, but they left part of it red, intentionally, almost as a way to foreshadow that Ryuko (which we would later find out) is not totally under Junketsu’s control and could be freed from his influence.

I might go even further to say that this was one of the factors that alerted Nui not to trust Ryuko, and be hesitant to give her the other Scissor Blade.

Just a small little detail that goes to show just how well thought-out KLK can be.
