with the fnaf trailer release im back to looking at all my old favorite aus- man it's cool to go back thru all of these!!! the writing still holds up so well. also with the release, i was looking at the timeline again and saw someone mention, with _this_ mike being like 10 in 1987, he'd end up around... 16-ish in 1993 when the first game was placed? to have him (somehow) weasel in as a night guard at _that_ time would be a pretty fun au. also probably a pretty bloody one tho

HAH!! That would be a riot! XD An angry teenage Mike making his way into Freddy's either as a legitimate summer-temp-employee or as a vandal, OH that would be interesting!

Also, thank you so much! It's so nice to hear that folks still enjoy the story as it is! It will be updated at some point, and hopefully be just as entertaining! <3

It never fails, I go make a determined vow to be more active online, and then I just.. BOOP. Vanish. XD;;;

I'm okay! Things have just been a roller coaster for the past few years, and I'm slowly stepping out of the mire. Just a quick recap on most relevant current events:

drawing has been at a complete standstill, but working with NeoMikey, there are plans in place to get me back into being creative

day job continues on as usual, still working from home

Bonnie is still best kitty! We have a long way to go with some of her anxieties yet, but she is really coming into her own and settling in over the past few months

in case it hasn't been said - I am up to my neck in Final Fantasy 14!! All caught up to patch 6.4, and regularly meeting with my family to play together. Just today, we met with our dad and got him a bit farther into Shadowbringers! Between keeping one alt's island going, another alt's house and crafting going, and dressing up SOOOO many casual alts based on favourite characters, it is definitely a time sink LOL

FNAF AU - STILL IN THE WORKS. When I get back to it, there will definitely be changes right from the get go. I would like to refresh things like the narrative and the art style, while keeping the characters we love true to themselves.

Speaking of FNAF, I'm terrified of jumpscares in movies but I will go to that movie day one if at all possible XD;;;

So how far has your FNAF AU been developed, in terms of what games in the series they cover?

Long time no see! X3 We're still pretty rough and figuring out details, as with the release of Security Breach, I now have OTHER ways I want to redevelop the story, heheheheh! It's so far from canon already, a lil more mixing up can't hurt, right? ^_~ Essentially, the main storyline is about the same - tracing the steps of FNAF 1 thru 4, largely out of order compared to the canon, with elements of Security Breach and Pizzeria Simulator tossed in for funsies! We'll see how it all plays out, but overall, I hope we can all have fun with what comes together!

You're not working on the AU anymore?

Actually, I am! It’s just... VERY slow going. X3;

This past year has been a ride, and of course it’s not just me who feels that way! I’ve had to step back and focus on my well-being, especially after that long “art winter” hit and I didn’t draw anything for nearly half a year.

Now, that art winter is starting to thaw! Fantastic! BUT I’m still focusing very much on self-care, because of... well, (gestures everywhere) THIS is still happening. A lot changed and a lot still changes, and it’s been a time of processing and getting by. So, instead of focusing hardcore on the Ryukoverse AU, I’m trying to doodle, tie up past projects that were left behind aaaages before Tumblr, and just remember what that flow feels like. It’s with that flow that the best possible story will come forth, I’m certain!

Just recently, I scrolled back through the art tag, revisiting all the story points with Mike, Doll, Jeremy, Faith, Happy 87, the Fazband, the Purples, from my own story AND from all of you. There’s so much creativity we’ve shared together! It was a joy to see it all again - and I want to share more!

No promises on when, but that desire IS there, and little ideyas have percolated over this past while. When it’s ready, I hope you will enjoy it too!

Hey do you still do stuff about Mike and all of them?

I do! It’s just been an unexpectedly difficult couple of months - well, let’s be honest, this whole YEAR has been a ride - and my attention has had to focus elsewhere. (Life does that a LOT, and it has the worst timing EVER...)

There is still a lot of love for Mike, Doll, the whole FNAF crew, and their story! I completely understand the concerns many of you have, and I apologize for making you wait. Details cannot be shared, but there have been MANY challenges to overcome this past while, and it has taken a great deal of attention and energy away from developing this story.

I’m working towards a more creative upswing, and hopefully soon, there will be plenty of content and stories to share!
