ok that would be like a gazillion characters LMAO but since i have eo3 on my mind, i'll talk about kalisi! (and ryuzir a bit by extension)
kalisi says they don't have any deep attachment to their mother, and this is true, even though part of why they left home on their quest was to find their brother and put him back in his place for upsetting their mom so much--but despite that, they named their guild in honour of her, not that they ever really tell anyone as much
as children, kalisi and ryuzir's mom would tell them all kinds of stories and folk tales, and their favourite one was when she would tell them about a secret, beautiful island somewhere far across the seas, a glistening place full of roses that sparkle and never wilt, and water still and shining like mirrors, like an oasis frozen in time
...they know she surely couldn't have been talking about the forest deep inside of yggdrasil. but, when they reach it, they can't help but wonder regardless
