when I started shipping it if I did: OH BOY how did all start hmm… I think I started to ship them around the time when Jean had to dress up as Eren and do mission with Armin as Christa… maybe? Because I tell you man, that was wild ride– NO WAIT WAIT OH GOD THAT UNCONCIOUS JEAN IN ARMIN’S ARMS IN THE FIELD SURROUNDED BY TITANS AND EREN GOES BERSERK OR WHATEVER,THAT IT WAS! I think I shipped JeanArmin very lowkey at the beginning (like Jean growing more to me and being kind of third wheel for my Eremins idk man) bu then the said arc of Jean and Armin being in disguise as Eren and Christa, it all blew and here I am, not so loykey shipping them.
my thoughts: OF ALL HOLY, HOLD ME.
What makes me happy about them: They are cute, like Jean is so awkward nerd and Armin is the cutest nerd and the way they trust each other and GODDAMNIT THAT HEIGH DIFFERENCE. Ngggggh.
What makes me sad about them: that the fandom doesn’t really see the potential of it, like idk I haven’t met any nasty Eremin shippers but oh boy, tell me about those Ship-I-shall-not-name-but-it-includes-the-dead-dude shippers… nasty. But as a ship, as characters, I think it always makes me kind of sad that they will probably never reach to the same level as Eremin does, like I don’t know, they are kind of a ship that would be “we could have had it all” thing. I mean, it’s like a slippery ice and they could either fall or stay…. I don’t even know what I’m talking about lol.
things done in fanfic that annoys me: I haven’t read that many JeanArmins to be honest, so I don’t think I can pinpoint anything that is exclusively JeanArmin thing, but generally when people write Armin so out of character, like too cute, too weak maybe. Or Jean having trauma because of the dead dude.
things I look for in fanfic: I think I go for like slow burn, be it in canon verse or in AU, or something idk really.
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Eren.
My happily ever after for them: they survive, form a co-commandership over whatever is left of the system.
who is the big spoon/little spoon: I think Jean is a little spoon because my head canon is that he loves it when Armin pets his hair and he loves the smell of Armin’s shirts because Armin likes floral shit for softener or something. Also I think they both are restless sleepers so Armin doesn’t like it if Jean tries to suffocate him with his stupidly long limps. Hair petting calms Jean so that’s why it’s nicer for both of them if Jean is little spoon. BDDDD
what is their favorite non-sexual activity: Wander around book stores and point out books they like and/or would read.
