The main theme of the game, centered around a character who is significant across all routes. Is it a villain song? Is it a map to the future? Your choices dictate as much. Every route is reflected through the lyrics as well.
this song makes me so emotional every time. the vocals are beautiful and the lyrics are so good. it's about feeling alone even when you're surrounded by people. knowing any happiness is just fleeting. about loving someone even though you're going to leave them.
(spoilers for fe3h) to get specific, it just makes me so sad the way edelgard distances herself from others because she knows she'll have to betray or leave them eventually but she longs desperately for connection especially toward byleth, whom she admires and loves greatly, even when they're not on her side. the lyrics "open the door, and walk away / never give in to the call of yesterday" make me want to sob because she's determined to create her own justice and her vision of an equal world, but that doesn't mean she can't be emo about it. she loved byleth, the black eagles, she loved the empire, that's why she wanted to see it better. fuck all the haters edelgard there's a reason the theme song of this game is yours! and it's good as hell too!

A groovy tune to fight your evil robot doppleganger to.
This version of Stardust Speedway (EU) is easily the most iconic Metal Sonic theme! It's got a good build-up intro and adds a funky keyboard section later on into it that a lot of people point to as reasons why this is the best Metal theme in the franchise.

Gotta be one of the most iconic (and best) songs in the mgs franchise. Vocals and instrumental are both so powerful and tell the general plot of mgs3 through Snake's perspective. Also pretty touching because the lyrics are about the strong feelings he has towards his boss and you don't get to see such a tender side from Snake too much. Incredible song from an incredible game

Calamari Inkantation:
This song is actually insane. Aside from just being a banger, it plays a major part in the story and in the lore. The melody is essentially part of Inkling and Octoling DNA. While unconscious, one character (who has amnesia btw) was subconsciously humming it. The most famous version is one by a pop duo called the Squid Sisters, and when they performed it, they basically freed an entire race from militaristic brainwashing because it slapped that hard. It is consistently called “that heavenly melody” because of the profound affect it has. One remix of it is sung by one Squid Sister to un-brainwash another. Another remix is causes your pet fish to turn into a kaiju and fights your boss who pays you minimum wage in space (and is also a genocidal teddy bear) while you and your other job’s mortal enemy team up and use a vacuum attached to a ufo to suck up fuzz balls from his body and shoot them back at him with a laser. Literally nothing about that final sentence was exaggerated, Splatoon is just that kind of game.
this song has been used in every single game in some form of iteration building upon the last, and each different version carries its own message along with it. canonically it is like THE most important song in the series. it caused an entire army to dismantle itself just from hearing it. it literally saved the world from being violently deconstructed and rebuilt. it turned a fish into a kaiju. this song is like. the culmination of splatoon itself. i specifically chose to use the original version of the track because it's calamari inkantation in its most basic form, but if you can PLEASE give the other versions (spicy calamari inkantation and calamari inkantatio 3MIX) a listen too!! i think the other versions add onto this one in very substantial and important ways AND they fuck severely
