The recent cold front took him by surprised when he ventured out that morning, grateful for his normal inclination to overdress - even in such a temperate climate - rather than vice-versa. Stripping away unnecessary layers to cool down was a far easier task than being caught out with no means of warming up or protecting one’s self from any sort of precipitation. He cupped his hands together and brother them up close to his mouth, heated breath tickling his palms as he attempted to warm the skin up, in the end, having to resort to friction. One might think, given if they knew of who he was, what he was, that such actions on his behalf were uncalled for - and he’d agree. That’s why he did so to mimic the reactions of individuals he passed by. There was no need to bring forth circulation to his hands. Nothing but a facade.
He paid little heed to his surroundings, and only when a delicately crafted voice of a familiar female called out his name did it pique his interest and cause him to turn around. That instant, a smile tugged at his lips and he waved at her, for a while now foregoing any formality between them. He can’t exactly recall how long he’s known her for, but enough to be comfortable and acquainted with her, that was certain.
A lingering breeze ruffled whatever stray strands of his bangs there be, and he combed a few fingers through his hair to smooth out the flaws. The already below-average temperatures coupled with the occasional draft made for less than optimal conditions; and while he’s built more resistant to heat-and-cold, he still played on the persona of a teenage boy thwarted by the cold and struggling to retain warmth. Brightening up a little, he took a few steps closer to the female, fiddling with a loose thread protruding from his scarf and plucking it free. “Hey Sooyoung! Didn’t think I’d ever catch you out on a day like this. How’re you doing?”
A part of her mind found amusement at the sight of him bundled up in so many layers, the addition of his height making him seem more and more like a bear as she approached him. Despite her knowledge that layers seemed to be a necessity with Sehun, the small fog of cold air that pooled form his mouth as he tried to heat, or put on the appearance that he was thawing his hands from the cold had her looking left and right in mild curiosity. As it was, most people had bulking coats and various hats and scarves clothing them to prevent the striking weather to get at them. She herself was in nothing more than the generic jeans and tank top most people worse casually but then, she wasn't exactly like most people.
Deep in the shadows of a ruined heart, a serpentine mist wrapped it's way around the cracks and crevices, prowling comfortably as it gazed at the world through her eyes, it wouldn't do well for it to let her freeze. It loved her, and though she obviously knew the being she was approaching, it didn't stop the beasts nostrils flaring, clouds of white smoke curling around its muzzle when not a hint of a scent wafted from him. He was different, but it could do nothing but watch for the time being.
She easily mistook the white smoke she exhaled for the heat of her breath condensing as she finally reached Sehun, almost bouncing in her excitement as she threw her arms around his neck to hug him. She had never been good at etiquete and correct social behaviour, her emotions the stronger driving force behind her hugging him. It was always good to see a friendly face, especially out of the blue.
"Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm so glad you don't smell like anything!" She of course meant that amidst the cluster of smells she got from people; fear, anxiety, happiness, tension, Sehun proved to be a repellant to them as she stood close to him, the relief evident of her face as she smiled. Who knew nothing would smell so good? The slight wind pulled various strands of her hair out of place, plastering themselves to her face and nose which scrunched itself up at the sensitivity before her hand delicately, or so she'd like to think, away from her face and back in place.
"I'm good! Just roaming, trying to find something to do. Apparently it's cold though and everyone's trying to get inside." she felt a small pout form on her pink lips, "So boring. What about you?"
