i just called to say i love you.

{/ jinki stares at his phone for what must be the sixtieth time that night, silent with poorly hidden nerves. which is strange, because of all people he shouldn't be nervous around kibum, his boyfriend. but alas, it's only after one more hesitant glance that he finally picks up his phone. unlike what had become the usual -- sending a text -- he dials kibum's number and holds it to his ear. he swallows, only now worrying that maybe kibum's busy and maybe he doesn't want to talk but it's too late; the unique yet calming voice of his boyfriend is heard through the speaker. jinki takes a deep breath before whispering, gently, a little broken} k-kibum... {/ he would wince at the weakness of his own, now foreign , voice but the fact that he's speaking (to his beloved, nonetheless) is enough to dampen his vision} kibum... {/ weak, but stronger now} I... love you.

{ ` when he sees the caller id on his phone, kibum's first thought is one of worry. he can think of two reasons for him to get a call from jinki's phone: either something really bad happened and someone else is using jinki's phone to call him, or the elder finally got his voice back and is calling to show it off. kibum fervently hopes it's the latter as he ducks into a nearby room on the dream high set} hello? jinki? { ` he says into the phone, not worried about being overheard since there's some kind of electrical unit in here that drowns his voice out to people on the outside. when he hears his boyfriend's voice through the phone, kibum swears his heart stops in his chest. never mind the fact that jinki's voice is quiet and a little broken; just the sound of it, even like this is enough to bring a relieved grin to kibum's face. he leans back against the brick wall behind him} oh my god. { ` he says into the phone, feeling emotional tears prick at his eyes. he ignores them, closing his eyes in order to better listen to jinki} i love you too. { ` he replies, biting his lip like a giddy teenager in love} i've missed hearing your voice.

this is just right ; jinki&kibum

{/ jinki finds himself at the familiar crossing outside of trc, watching the lights turn from red to green and back again. sighing with his hands buried deep in his pockets, he turns on his heel and walks away. however unlike usual he doesn’t take the detour to the teahouse. in a matter of time he’s at kibum’s apartment, using the spare key to make his way into the warmth of his boyfriend’s bedroom. only there’s no one home at the moment, and he really probably should have messaged before waltzing over here and kind of breaking into his boyfriend’s home, but jinki can’t help it, not really. these past weeks have been difficult without kibum, and jinki’s always too tired or too embarrassed or something to text his boyfriend during the day. it’s exhausting. he doesn’t want halfhearted exchanges of text— he misses the real kibum and kibum’s scent and kibum’s touch and laughter. the craving seriously aches his heart, leading him to the empty bedroom with a lame heart shaped card covered bright font, saying 'i love you!'. jinki sits the card and his glasses on kibum’s nightstand, his jelly limbs only bearing enough strength to peel off the clothes he has on before collapsing onto the soft cloud of amazingness that is kibum’s bed. it is kinda chilly, clad in only boxers and an undershirt, but that’s soon all dispelled as jinki sinks into the pillows which smell so much like his beloved. something about kibum’s bed is just so much better than any other, like he really is in the fluffiest and snuggliest of clouds that’s just singing him into dreamland, and it makes him all smiley and satisfied as he heaves a long, content, sigh. he doesn’t have time to worry if kibum’s gonna freak when he sees him, or if this does count as breaking and entering, because it doesn’t take long for jinki to drown in the warmth, the scent of kibum, and fall into a nice deep slumber}

{ ` kibum considers staying at royal for the night yet again, but as his last schedule ends, he stands up and realizes that he’s sick of dancing for half the night and spending the other half lying on the floor of his practice room trying to find some sleep. he decides instead to go home, figuring that since he can’t remenber the last time he actually slept in his own bed, he deserves a few hours’ rest on something more comfortable than a lumpy couch or a hardwood floor} - { ` fifteen minutes later, he walks into his apartment, kicking his shoes off by the door and not noticing the other pair that’s already there, or if he does notice then he assumes that they’re youngjae’s, and that both of them are home at the same time for once. his cat approaches and rubs its body against his ankles, meowing disdainfully} hey, storm. sorry i haven’t been around. youngjae’s been feeding you, right? { ` he bends down to pick the cat up, but the animal moves away before he can. with a huff, kibum straightens and follows the cat to his bedroom. storm is sitting next to the door, pawing at the wood and meowing repeatedly. confused at the cat’s strange behavoir, kibum opens the door and jumps at the sight of someone already in his bed. he freezes, his eyes wide as he stares} - { ` he can recognize the features of the person’s face from here — he knows it’s jinki, but he can’t understand why or how the elder would be here. after pinching the inside of his wrist as hard as he can to confirm that he isn’t having some kind of crazy dream, kibum approaches the bed cautiously, sitting on the edge and reaching out slowly to touch his boyfriend’s face} jinki. { ` he mutters, running his thumb (which is still slightly chilled from the air outside) against the elder’s warm cheek}

sorta kinda first date \ jinki&kibum

{ * half an hour after the finale of jieun's concert, kibum leads jinki into his apartment, holding a finger of one hand to his lips as the other holds onto jinki's} try to stay quiet. i'm pretty sure youngjae's asleep. { * he says quietly, having never fully mastered the art of whispering, though seeing as he's such a loud and outspoken person by nature, that makes sense. he tugs on jinki's hand once their shoes are off and abandoned by the door, leading him to the kitchen} come on, i'm hungry. i always need a snack when i get home from training, even though it's against diet. { * he says with a smirk, dropping jinki's hand as they reach the kitchen in favor of turning around and stepping closer to the elder, his hands coming up to cup jinki's face as he leans in for a brief yet satisfying kiss. when he pulls away it's with a smile up to jinki, though soon he's moving away completely, pulling two packs of instant ramen down from the cupboards} i hope ramen's okay with you, 'cause it's pretty much all we have.

it's just too much \ kibum&jinki

{ ` it's about 12:30 in the morning when kibum enters the teahouse, using the key jinki's grandmother gave him a few months ago. he takes his shoes off once he's in the actual house portion, looking up at the pitter-patter sound of dog paws on the hardwood floor. someone's left a lamp on, so he can see elvis the basset hound approaching him through the warm orange glow of the lamplight. ignoring the dog that is now sniffing at his feet and probably getting slobber all over his socks, kibum sets his bag that holds all of his clothes and water bottle and other things he needs throughout the day at royal down on the couch, looking around as he hears familiar footsteps approaching. he sighs at the sight of his friend, and he wonders if jinki is more than just a friend now. he supposes he could say best friend, but that doesn't really feel quite right either. kibum decides to forget about it for a while, instead focusing on the issue at hand} thanks for letting me come over. { ` he says, his voice betraying more of his exhaustion than he meant it to, though he doesn't really care at this point. he had called jinki after his schedules ended, then worked on his own choreography for about an hour until he knew the elder was done with his schedule as well} i just... { ` he trails off, taking a moment to swallow his pride before speaking again} i think i need a hug, honestly. { ` he admits with a brave attempt at a small smile}

{ * before arriving at this camp, jinri had been nervous. it's sponsored by royal and trc -- she'll have to be on her best behavior, because it's likely that the representatives from each company will be looking to sign some new trainees after this camp ends. now, after arriving, getting a chance to get settled in her room, attending a couple workshops explaining the point of the camp, and eating dinner at the resort, she feels a bit more at ease. they've been told to find someone else they've never met before and introduce themselves -- typical for a workshop on the first day, of course -- so jinri walks over to a male she's had her eye on ever since the beginning of the workshop. his face seems vaguely familiar, but she can't place what his name might be, or even where she might have ever seen him before} Hi. { * she begins, coupled with a rather awkward wave} Uh, I'm Jinri. You seem kind of familiar, but I don't think we've ever met before.

rescue mission

{` upon looking around the room, key's eyes land on an all-too-familiar form dancing extremely badly in the center of the floor. jinki looks as if he's about to fall down where he stands, and with the way he's randomly flailing his arms about it looks like the poor girl he's dancing with is in pretty immediate danger of being smacked in the face. deciding to rescue her and everyone else in the vicinity, key makes his way over and pointedly ignores the way that he stumbles a few times on the way. he steps in front of his friend and places both hands on his shoulders, forcing him to stop dancing} I'm taking you off the dance floor before you take someone's eye out. {` he says, taking the elder's wrist and tugging him away}

{` key walks briskly down the street, dragging his friend along behind him and completely ignoring any and all questions about where they're going. he has a goal in mind today, and he is not going to rest until he's achieved it. finally they stop in front of a beauty salon, and key drops jinki's hand so he can turn around and cross his arms, raising an eyebrow at the other} We're getting you a haircut. It's a wonder that you can see through all that hair, honestly. And after this we're going shopping. You need a few outfits that actually do something for you. {` he says, looking jinki's choice of clothes up and down before shaking his head and turning to go into the store without waiting for a reply from the elder}
