Moonseeker
[ Hey ya guys, so after a bit of thought i found that i wasn't exactly happy with how i wrote her first written thingie but! I can rewrite it and continue the story how i'd like it. So here we go again.
Warning, this is an au for Skyrim based around MY oc. So if you don't like that it's not canon go fuck off.
Other warnings, blood, gore, violence and death. I'll be sure to list other warnings doing those chapters. ]
This journey has been a long time coming, she had been living in Cyrodiil for such a long time. So long that she honestly forgot for just how long she had been staying there. Cyrodiil never felt like home, she hasn't felt at home in such a long time. She's honestly forgotten how that feels. Has she ever felt at home?
No, she hasn't.
Wait
she has, she did once a very long time ago.
She had packed up everything she had at her camp deep within the forest just outside of the town Choorol. She went into the town and traded or sold what she didn't need so she could buy new things. As for food, she didn't worry about that. She could hunt and forage for whatever she needed. She was good at hunting. She grew up hunting game with her family when she was young.
She was heading north towards Skyrim, she had heard quite a bit about Skyrim from the Nords she be friended during the times she had visiting the near by towns. They had told her so many tales about the vast wild life that called the place home, the places that one could go exploring and just how pretty everything is there.
These been some of the reasons why she wanted to go there but she also wanted to go there because for the first time in a very long time it would be her choosing to go there. Not something making that choice for her and putting her in a place she never wanted to be in the first place.
She honestly was looking forward to this, she had hunted her food while she traveled along the road towards Skyrim. She was riding her horse Buttercup. She had this young colt for a while. He was experienced horse who no longer freaked out at the wild animals or bandits she came across on the road. She came across merchants along the road as she traveled along the road. They had carried word about the civil war that was running across the land there. It was a minor note for her in all honesty. She had seen what war does since she was in Cyrdoiil when the war broke out between the Empire and the Altemer. The mess that stemmed from that was on a level of which she did not wish to see again. She could avoid the fighting if she played her cards right.
Her horse snorted as they traveled on the road towards the town that she wanted to visit most. It was a town called Falkreath which from what she understood would be a perfect place for someone who just wanted to vanish into the wilds of skyrim's deep woods and never be seen again.
The road changed from cobblestone to dirt and back again time after time as Buttercup and her traversed the forested roads. She was in no rush to reach where she was headed. The town shouldn't go anywhere. She made sure to stop for the night and rest along with make sure that Buttercup could eat and drink. She came across bandits from time to time or some nasty animal that wanted to pick a fight but she handled each one with no issue.
She was finally making her way across the boarder of Cyrodiil and Skyrim. Seeing the change in the forest was subtle as they crossed into the new area. She closed her eyes tilting her head upwards towards the sun that was high in the sky inhaling the air. The scent was different here. The feeling of something new, something different was so welcome to her. A small smile spread across her face.
It felt so nice to have a change.
It was so nice to be able to make her own choice with where she want and what she did.
From now on her life will be one of her own, she will not be a pawn for some game that she wanted nothing to do with.
She could finally have some peace in her life an-
She felt her horse shift under her, it was in a nervous manner that he did whenever they came across a threat. Her eyes opened and she held the reins tight in her hand. She clicked her tongue and squeezed her thighs making Buttercup snort and move to the side.
She stopped him just shortly after coming into Skryim, her ears swiveled as she could hear the sounds of people coming towards her. A group of people. Annoyance ran down her spine as her right hand went to her hip where she kept her sword. She rested it there ready to draw it. Buttercup snorted and stomped his hooves. Huffing and puffing voicing his frustration of what was happening.
She shifted herself in her saddle ready to make her horse bolt as the rustling got louder and louder.
Before the two could bolt a few soldiers from the Imperial army appeared, her ears went backwards in confusion.
"Halt! State your business for entering Skyrim!" One shouted, they were all holding swords while others bows. She swallowed hard unsure of what to make of this. Was this a check point? None of the merchants she came across ever spoke about this. So was this new?
"Speak cat!" Another bellowed making Buttercup snort and stomp his hooves and making an annoyed noise from the back of his throat. She glared at the now 9 men that had her surrounded.
She could simply answer them but this much aggression right out the gate was a bit strange. She gripped her sword partly pulling it out of it's sheath.
"I am here to find my new home." She told them, a few looked at her or each other. Some laughed and snickered to each other. That was not a good sign. She gripped Buttercup's reins tighter "I do not want to fight you but i will if i must."
"Hand over your gold cat and we will let you by." The 2nd man told her as the others were getting closer to them.
"I have none to spare."
"You got some pretty armor and a horse. Hand him over."
"No."
They seemed taken a back by her simple answer, before they could argue S'Riba could already see they had made up their minds about how to handle her. They would take what she had and either make her into their pet or do something horrid to her.
They would not have her like that.
She clicked her tongue and gave Buttercup a sharp kick in his ribs which was all the encouragement the horse needed. He bolted forward knocking over 3 of the men as they moved away. She leaned forward in her saddle feeling the wind rush by her ears and run though her hair. She heard the whistle of arrows fly by her head. She heard Buttercup cry out as one, two, only to feel her beloved horse stiffen up as he was shot to death. She flung from her saddle tumbling across the stones of the road. She felt the sharp impacts as she rolled. She lay on her side breathing hard as she struggled to her feet drawing her sword. They were rushing at her already. A few arrows landed in her shoulder and thigh. She cried out and tried to swing as the first man came within swinging. Her blade and his sang out as they swung and slashed at each other. Her attention was so focused on the men in front of her that she failed to see the one who was sneaking up behind her until it was to late.
She felt a sharp pain jolt down from the back of her head down the rest of her body. She felt her body crumble and fall into the stones once more.
Darkness swallowed her vision, her mind
'welcome to skyrim my child.'
