A question to Dreamies, what was their first impression of their Noona?

mark “we arrived at the company the same day! it’s amazing, actually. anyways, (laughs) i don’t think i’m supposed to say this but she was crying when we first met. her parents had dropped her off, i remember, so she must’ve missed them as soon as they left. but we got along easily and became friends in an instant, so i was there for her. she was really cute at the time.”

renjun “i met taehee noona the same time i met mark hyung in the cafeteria. right after hyung told me i looked older than i was, i saw noona punch him lightly on the shoulder like she was scolding him (laughs). then she offered me to have lunch with them and was really friendly. from then on, i thought she was a reliable person even if i didn’t know her well at the time. (he grins) and i was right.”

jeno “taehee noona….noona was introduced to me by mark hyung. she was wearing an oversized band shirt and dark sweatpants, like she just came from practice. she looked really cool! honestly, i’ve heard about her from the other trainees about how she’s so good at dancing and rapping — singing, too. so in my mind, i was like, ‘ah, so this is the legend they’re talking about’ (laughs). despite all that, she’s still down to earth. that’s one of the things i like about her.”

haechan (he answers right away, giggling) “taehee noona and i did not get along well at first, you guys probably knew that already. i vaguely remember how we first met actually, but i just remember how her reactions were so funny whenever i teased her. i’m grateful that she doesn’t take them to heart, she teased me back so it was fun. noona is really easy to get along with. it’s never a dull moment with her.”

jaemin “noona was mark hyung’s friend — that was all i thought of her back then. there was this one time she bought ice cream for her friends, and even if we weren’t close, she thought of me and saved one for me. she actually fought haechanie for the choco ice cream before offering me a strawberry flavored one. but then jeno told her i didn’t like the taste of artificial strawberry, so in an instant, she took the strawberry ice cream and gave her choco one to me. i was really surprised, i didn’t think she’d do that. but noona has a warm heart. (did you enjoy your ice cream?) of course, i did! besides it not being strawberry (chuckles), it was from taehee noona so i enjoyed it very much!”

chenle “i wasn’t that good in speaking korean at the time, so i didn’t talk that much. i can’t remember how taehee noona knew about it, but she was really understanding and talked to me in english sometimes. even if she was a foreigner herself, she tried to help me with my korean and treated me to convenience store food (laughs). so now, i pay her back by treating her to nice restaurants. she’s cool!” (he does a thumbs up as a sign of approval)

jisung “i wasn’t really close to noona back then because i was shy (chuckles), but she bantered a lot with haechan hyung in the past. it was amazing, i swear. she was the only one who could keep up with him at the time. but i think we became closer during mmc..? she treated me really kindly and it was nice dancing with her, so…yeah, that’s my first impression of taehee noona.”

2:06 pm “haechan-ah, happy birthday! i might not show it to you all the time but i’m grateful for your presence and .... affection.”

“you always know how to light up a room and make the people around you happy, but at the same time you’re very sincere and thoughtful; that’s what i really like about you.”

“you did very well while we were promoting ‘hot sauce’ and that made me very... proud?” taehee laughs, “you make me very proud. always.”

“twenty-two — i hope you spend this year happily, healthily, and safely. i’ve got your back so just lean on me, open up to me, and i’ll be there for you.”

“happy birthday, haechanie!”

a bit shuffling is heard until taehee’s voicemail ends, and haechan feels his smile grow all the more when he receives a notification from the female member.

the birthday boy lets out another laugh, a louder one this time (oh how he found taehee’s antics adorable).

later, when they see each other before the fansign, haechan engulfs taehee into a bone-crushing hug, knocking the air out of her lungs.

“why does she get a hug like that?” renjun sulks, “we all said happy birthday to you!”

still keeping his hold on taehee, he faces the chinese boy, “unlike you, noona actually supports my love for 김치찌개,” and sticks his tongue out playfully. hearing his reply, another huff escapes renjun, causing mark and jeno to laugh at his situation.

as they make their way to the waiting room, haechan separates himself from taehee and takes the plastic bag of his known favorite from her hands. “if it suits your taste, there’s still more in the dorms. just come over,” taehee tells him softly, her hand coming up to pat the fluff of hair that sits atop haechan’s head.

“even if it didn’t, i’ll still come over and eat all the 김치찌개 you’ve made, noona.”

“pfft, whatever.”

taehee’s thoughts on haechan’s ost? so so proud of him what a lovely first solo project ah !

immediately listened to it once it came out and literally praised haechan over text !! she’d stream it whenever she can omg

do you think taehee pulls the foreigner card a lot? like when asked to do aegyo or something she’ll be like “im a foreigner idk what that is. 😕😕” extending on that thought, has she had any moments where she actually didnt know certain korean words? i can imagine her being in one of those “nct vs the korean language” videos 😭😭

YES !!! she does that in the 127 video i have yet to post but aside from being asked to aegyo, she pulls the foreigner card a lot whenever she and hyuck banter and his reaction just Sends HAHAH she’d go, “i’m sorry, i don’t speak korean,” in english and so hyuck does that thing with his tongue when he acts annoyed and either taehee breaks character and laughs at him or hyuck continues to play along with it

and yes !! there have been moments where taehee didn’t know what a word meant, or if she’s using the correct word HAHA the most iconic example would be during empathy era, when she and lucas were doing a bag haul on vlive, and there was this some sort of inhaler that her friend gave her (lisa) which is called ‘yadom’, but taehee thought it was ‘야동’ which had a TOTALLY different meaning. they didn’t realize their mistake until yuta corrected them in the next live (180605 vlive).

“oh, this is from thailand!” lucas exclaims in wonder, pulling out a small tube from taehee’s bag. “what’s this called again?”

the girl furrows her eyebrows together as she recalls its name, “umm, my friend gave it to me. i think it’s 야동?”

“야동? 동?”

“yeah,” she then punctuates the each syllable very carefully, “야. 동.”

“ahh,” lucas nods. looking back at the camera, he says, “everyone! this is 야동!”

taehee beams at his enthusiasm before resuming to look for more stuff inside her bag. she mumbles, “i like 야동, 야동 is nice. i have it with me all the time.”

little did they know what exactly those words meant.

don’t we all just love that enemies to best friends/lovers kind of trope (bestfs to lovers comes a close second) !!! taehyuck is honestly such a power duo. doyoung said it himself, everyone’s scared when these two are together.

in between themselves, however, they’re just a pair of devious kids who like to joke around with each other, and at the same time, look out for themselves bc that’s how they show that they care (though hyuck may be the one who’s more open to admitting that).

what shows has taehee watched recently?

haechan’s been begging her to watch hometown cha cha cha for weeks but it’s either one of them falls asleep while watching or the other is too busy :( but taehee has finished squid game in one sitting !!
