Tell me why I just saw a Washington x Lafayette shipper get their ass beat in TikTok comments and being called an incest shipper for daring to ship TWO GROWN ASS MEN WHO AREN’T RELATED. You people see something that doesn’t fit your precious little headcanons and get so enraged that you need to take it out on people who are doing literally nothing wrong. I’ve been in this fandom since 2016. Washington x Lafayette has been one of the biggest ships since conception. Not as big as lams and hamliza but still high on the rankings. Jamilton is THE enemies to lovers ship in this fandom alongside hamburr, but I guess that’s not allowed anymore because some of you don’t know how to not yuck someone else’s yum and stay in your fucking lane. “I see xyz characters as related” okay and that’s great good for you but if you take YOUR headcanons and push them onto everyone else then you’re just an asshole. If you want to see characters as found family or whatever you’re allowed to but DO NOT come into MY HOUSE and tell me I have to follow YOUR rules. That’s not how this works babe. Whamilton and washette hate is so forced. Back in 2018-2020 it was a completely normal ship but now everyone has this holier than thou attitude, proving to everyone they hate washette because of how problematic it is. You hear age gap and power imbalance argument from every corner, as if we are not talking about a ship of nonexistent characters heavily based on the founding fathers who were all awful people. Believe me, even if whamilton was ever canon in history, it would be the tamest shit ever compared to everything else those people had to endure. But we are talking about fantasy, and sooner or later you will have to realise that having weird fantasies about founding fathers making out in tents doesnt make you a criminal. It makes you weird yes, but ALL OF US HERE are weird to people outside this fandom. People from other fandoms hate you and they dont care if you ship awful problematic washette or soft almost canon lams or jamilton or jeffmads.
